Age limit as per Recruitment rule: Between 18 & 35 years as on 31.07.2010. Relaxation in upper age limit is available to OBC candidate by 3 years and PH-OBC candidate by 10 years. Categories of Disabled suitable candidates for jobs are OA, OL, OAL, LV. Education & other qualification required for the post: Essential:

1. A degree from a recognized University. Candidates possessing higher

qualifications would be preferred. 2. Voice suited to broadcasting with good pronunciation and accent. 3. Knowledge of the Malayalam language and literature. 4. Acquaintance with Music and Drama 5. Acquaintance with National & International Affairs. Desirable: Knowledge of one other language and Devanagari Script.

Job Requirements:

1. To write announcements and broadcast them and to play back recordings of

Music & other programmes while announcing them.

2. To write presentation scripts for special programmes of music including the

selection of records etc.

3. To reply to listeners letters. 4. To fill in the fault reports, lo books etc. for the transmission in which they
are on duty.

5. To take part occasionally in features, plays, special audience programmes

etc.

6. Occasionally to read scripts, commentaries, short stories etc. written by staff

or outsiders to help and present programmes for special audiences. 7. Compering of various categories of Programmes. 8. To maintain registers and Index relating to the special programme activity.

Scale of Pay: Rs.9300-34800 +Grade Pay Rs.4200/- Plus other allowances as admissible from time to time. Classification: The appointment will be governed by the terms conditions as applicable to Prasar Bharati Employees.
