Sample "A sample is the representative proportion of the population." It is from the study of this sample that something is known and said about the whole population. The total sample for the study comprises of 140 students from seven schools in which two schools are government and five are private schools. From each school students has been taken as sample. The schools included in the sample are located in located in Rohtak.

For the analysis of data following Statistical Techniques are applied for the analysis of the data of values such as Mean, Standard deviation, S.ED and t-Value. MAIN FINDINGS:
The statistical analysis of data present in table helped in testing the various hypothesis formulated to realize the objectives of study. Followings are the brief findings: 1. There is no significant difference in study habits of male and female students of Arts stream of senior secondary schools of Rohtak city. Male and female students have similar reading habits of similar stream. 2. There is no significant difference in study habits of science stream students of senior secondary schools of Rohtak city. Science students have similar reading habits.

3. There is no significant difference in study habits of arts male and female students of senior secondary schools of Rohtak city. Arts male and female students have similar reading habits.
CONCLUSION:
From the above findings we can conclude that science and arts students have different study habits when all the eight areas of the study habits were taken into consideration. Students of Arts stream showed poor study habits in comparison to student of Science stream. It is also clear that male and female student of science stream have significantly superior study habits than male and female students of Arts stream. It was found that Arts students (male and female) are similar in areas like reading ability, physical conditions, budgeting time, and memory. In these areas, they are similar but they differ in areas like note making, learning factor, examination procedure. It was found that science student (male and female) are similar in areas like reading ability, physical conditions, budgeting time and memory. We can also infer that science and arts students are generally similar in study habits in study reading ability, physical conditions, budgeting time and memory.

3. The study can be conducted on a larger sample. As in this study 140 students form the sample, to study in more depth larger sample of 200 or more can be taken. 4. As the present study is considered in schools of Rohtak city only, similar study can be conducted in other cities and state level. 5. This study can be studied with the same variable as studied earlier in the abroad such as metacognition, study habits and attitudes and socialized personality, scholastic aptitudes, study habits, academic achievement: exploring the link.
