June 11, 2011, Lu Qing, legal representative of Beijing Fake Cultural Development Ltd., along with family members of missing staff, have once again submitted a joint letter to the Public Security department, the Beijing Public Security Bureau, the Beijing Procuratorate, the Beijing Supervision Committee, and the Beijing Political and Legal Committee. The letter urges public security institutions to place the cases of Wen Tao, Hu Mingfen, Liu Zhenggang, and Zhang Jingsongs kidnaps and disappearances of over two months on file for investigation, and to provide an explanation of the incidents for their family members. Content of the letter: Urging the Beijing public security institutions to establish cases and investigate into the kidnaps and disappearances of four staff members and friends of Fake Ltd. as soon as possible We are the legal representative of Beijing Fake Cultural Development Ltd. and its staff family members. In this letter we would like to reflect on the situation that four staff members and friends have been kidnapped and made to disappear, and to urge the public security institutions to immediate establish cases and investigate into the matter. Wen Tao, male, 37 years old, a friend of the legal representative of Fake Ltd., was forcibly taken away near the studio, by four unidentified men on April 3. He has been kidnapped and went missing for 69 days. Hu Mingfen, female, 55 years old, accountant of Fake Ltd. Her family members claimed that she left home on April 7 to go to work. On April 8, her phone has been disconnected and she has disappeared for 64 days. Liu Zhenggang, male, 49 years old, designer of Fake Ltd. At 19:00 of April 9, when he was driving with his wife in his residential neighborhood in Haidian District, four men in plain clothes forcibly took him away. He has been kidnapped since and is missing for 63 days. Zhang Jingsong, male, 43 years old, driver of Fake Ltd. At 1:00 of April 10, he has lost contact after parting ways with a friend at Caochangdi Village. He is missing for 63 days. After the above-mentioned kidnaps and disappearances occurred, families and friends have visited the Nangao police station in Chaoyang District and the Dazhongsi police station in Haidian District over a dozen of times to file cases, but the police stations refused to provide acknowledgements of reports and refused to establish the cases for investigations. So far there were no responses of any kind. Fake Ltd. focuses on architectural design and artistic design; all the above-mentioned staff members are ordinary citizens who fulfill their lines of duty. They have been kidnapped or have disappeared for over two months in Chinas capital; their family members are all very worried about their safety. On April 15, we wrote a letter to the public security department and the Beijing Public Security Bureau to reflect to the above-mentioned issues, but have not received any responses thus far. Here we once again urge the judicial departments to take up their responsibilities, to file cases and investigate into the series of disappearances and kidnaps that have occurred, and to provide an explanation for the family members as soon as possible.
