WEG e Grupo Cevital firmam acordo para constituição de

Joint Venture que produzirá motores elétricos na Argélia

A WEG S.A. (B3: WEGE3 / OTC: WEGZY) comunica seus acionistas e mercado em geral que firmou
documentos vinculantes com o Grupo Cevital, conglomerado com sede na Argélia, para constituição
de uma Joint Venture (JV) que atuará na produção e venda de motores elétricos para lavadoras de
roupa, com foco inicial no mercado da Argélia e norte da África.

O Grupo Cevital, fundado em 1971 na Argélia, atua por meio de suas subsidiárias em diversos setores
como agricultura, varejo, serviços e indústria, incluindo a produção e distribuição de eletrodomésticos,
atuando em diversas regiões como Europa, Oriente Médio, Norte da África e Ásia-Pacífico.

A nova empresa WEG Algeria Motors SpA contará com participação de 51% pelo Grupo WEG e 49%
pelo Grupo Cevital e terá suas operações na cidade de Setif produzindo, inicialmente, motores
utilizados em lavadoras de roupa fabricadas tanto pelo Grupo Cevital como por outros clientes da
região. A WEG fará investimentos especialmente com tecnologia e know-how para a fabricação de
motores para eletrodomésticos na Argélia. A produção iniciará no quarto trimestre de 2022.

WEG and Cevital Group sign an agreement to create a

Joint Venture that will produce electric motors in Algeria

WEG SA (B3: WEGE3 / OTC: WEGZY) announces to its shareholders and the general market that
signed binding documents with the Cevital Group, a conglomerate based in Algeria, for the creation
of a Joint Venture (JV) that will operate in the production and sale of electric motors for washing
machines, with an initial focus on the Algerian and North African market.

The Cevital Group, founded in 1971 in Algeria, operates through its subsidiaries in various segments
such as agriculture, retail, services, and industry, including the production and distribution of home
appliances, serving in several regions such as Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia-Pacific.

The new company WEG Algeria Motors SpA will have a 51% share by the WEG Group and 49% by
the Cevital Group. It will have its operations located in the city of Setif, initially producing motors used
in washing machines manufactured by the Cevital Group and other customers in the region. WEG
investments will be mainly dedicated to technology and know-how in electric motors manufacturing
for home appliances in Algeria. Production will start in the fourth quarter of 2022.
