I wish to thank my church family for the many prayers and get well cards I received while in the hospital, during my recuperation from surgery which resulted in a mild stroke. I especially want to express my appreciation to Brad, Dave and Sue for their prayers when visiting me at the hospital. I am blessed to have a God who was with me and Judy the entire time during this difficult time in my life. Don Gardner

Our Prayer Chain Ministry There is a new policy for our prayer chain. We will send "prayer needs" out only once per day, and not until 3 p.m. That way we will not be making multiple calls during the day. Please be understanding in this matter!

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path Psalm 119:105:

A Note from brAd.

I want to thank those who prayed for our Joplin mission team last week. They made it back and had a fabulous time as they served the victims of the community. They will make a Power point presentation in the near future. Look for more details soon. This week during VBS I will lead a class for parents entitled: Value-Packed Parenting, by Dr. Kevin Leman. You will really enjoy Lemans humor and insightful instruction. I do hope you will take advantage of this opportunity for solidifying your relationship with your children as you seek to provide Biblical training. Join us if you are not serving as a volunteer for VBS. We will meet from 6:30-7:30 in room 209. Due to VBS, on Wednesday we will break from our Half-Time bible study. We will retool next Wednesday, June 29th. Come learn with us as we discover how to make the second half of your life the best of your life.

Let me leave you with this thought. Scripture says: Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples! For His merciful kindness [love] is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord [faithfulness] endures forever. Praise the Lord! (Ps. 117)
Ah, thats the good news! Contained in this hallelujah psalm is a message to all nations of the world that Gods merciful kindnessHis covenant loveis great toward us (v.2). Think about what Gods love means. God loved us before we were born; He will love us after we die. Not one thing can separate us from the love of God that is in Jesus our Lord (Rom. 8:39). His heart is an inexhaustible and irrepressible fountain of love! Cya. Brad

Children of God...
YOUTH - YOUTH Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he SUMMER MID-WEEK will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6 MADNESS (Beginning June 29) Wednesday Worship: Your summer weeks will be incomplete without this midweek activity. From July 6 through August 10, elementary students will meet every Wednesday from 6-7:30pm for singing, games, and inter-active Bible lessons.

Successful VBS Decorating Day VBS decoration day was a huge success. We wish to thank Nick, Tracy, Patrick, and Noah Hinson, Breanne Crawford, Patrick, Laura, Esther, and Eli Wersell, Kristin Stuck, Jacob Pendleton, Jean Azbell, Tom Puckett, Glen, Jessica, and Elizabeth Shady. Elizabeth helped in the clean up by running the vacuum cleaner, so as you can see you are never too young or too old to help out around the church. Thanks everybody!

Families At The Park As a follow-up to VBS and a kickoff for our Wednesday night programming this summer, we are going to be doing a family event at Rising Park on Wednesday, June 29. This event is designed to attract elementary students and their families, but we encourage anyone to come who wants to be part of the fun. This event will be from 5:30pm 7:00pm, and will take place in the north wing of the Rising Shelter (up on the hill). We encourage anyone coming to bring a covered dish. Much of this event will be nothing more than a time to eat and hang out with each other. The final 30-45 minutes, though, we will have some structured games and a short kid-friendly devotional. If you have any questions, please contact Glen. Hope to see you there!
DISC GOLF AND DONUTS Every Thursday morning meet at the church at 9:00am for a round of disc golf. Never played disc golf or dont want to? Still come along and hang out with us! Afterwards we will go somewhere in town to get some donuts. Everyone wanting a donut needs to bring $1.00. Expect this to last until 11:00am
