2. CASO CLÍNICO
Paciente 23 anos, leucoderma, vítima de acidente
automobilístico sem cinto de segurança. Trazido à
emergência do Hospital das Clínicas de Teresópolis
Costantino Ottaviano, Rio de Janeiro – Brasil, pela
equipe de pronto-socorro. Queixando-se de dor em
região inferior da face e dificuldade nos movimentos
mandibulares. Após avaliação pela equipe de cirurgia-
geral e ortopedia foi descartada demais lesões e
solicitado parecer para o departamento de cirurgia
bucomaxilofacial. No exame físico, ele apresentava
descontinuidade do contorno mandíbular, dor à
palpação, desoclusão e equimose sublingual. Foi
solicitada tomografia computadorizada de face. Na
qual constou fratura de parasínfise esquerda e ângulo
direito (Figura 3). Foi internado, solicitado exames pré-
operatórios e preparado para a cirurgia.
