Formative assessment: 1. Completion of a record of clinical practice which will be periodically reviewed. 2. Evaluation of professional attitude and behaviour. 3. Presentation of Case study. Summative assessment: 1. Record of Clinical Practice.1000 examinations must have been completed and certified by the clinical supervisors or tutors. Of these, a minimum of 500 must have been completed without assistance from the supervisor or tutor. 2. 8 clinical assessments and 8 lab assessments will be carried out over the whole program at pre-determined stages. Introduction
Written by Admin1 History The School of Radiography has strong roots, originating from major teaching hospital with clinical based education. This school was formed in November 1990, to cater for the growing demands of radiographers in the medical field particulary in University Malaya Medical Centre

(UMMC). Since September 2003 the school was known as College of Radiography. Till now, more than 200 students have succesfully graduated at both the certificate and diploma level. Introduction The college offers a three years (nine semesters) Diploma in Radiography course. It has been expanding throughout the years with the growing numbers of students both from public and private sector, offering theoretical and clinical education in the imaging sciences.

The Radiographer A radiographer is a member of the health care team who is responsible for either the production of medical images of human organs for the purpose of diagnosis and therapy. A diagnostic radiographer is responsible for the production of diagnostic imaging on patients referred for specific investigations. The rapid development of imaging technology warrants a qualified diagnostic radiographer to be skilful and competent, both in basic and specialized diagnostic radiographic procedures. Aim The overall aim of the course is to produce students for the professional practice of imaging and radiation science. Objectives On completion of the course the student will be able to:1. Demonstrate a high standard of theoretical and practical knowledge in keeping with the rapidly changing scientific and technical advances in medical imaging science. 2. Enhance students' interpersonal skills with patients and member of the healthcare team. 3. Participate as a competent member of a health team in various disciplines. 4. Evaluate the techniques and standards of imaging modalities to implement quality assurance and resource management programs. 5. Demonstrate a basic understanding of principles of research and application in imaging sciences. 6. Develop the interest for further knowledge and continuing professional development.
