Shape cap: BO 4 (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) sts at beginning of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st at each end of every RS row 3 (3, 3, 3, 4, 7, 7) times, then every 4 rows 4 (4, 4, 4, 4, 2, 2) times, every RS row 3 (2, 3, 4, 3, 3, 1) time(s), then every row 1 (3, 3, 3, 5, 5, 9) time(s). BO 3 sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows. BO remaining 12 (12, 12, 12, 13, 16, 19) sts loosely. Finishing Block all pieces to measurements. Sew shoulder seams. Note: When picking up stitches along each front, it is better to err on the side of more stitches than less around the curves to keep the neck band from curling under.

Neck finish: With RS of work facing, pick up and knit 20 (22, 30, 34, 38, 42, 47) along right front bottom, 109 (109, 112, 112, 113, 115, 115) sts along right front, 5 sts along right back neck, 32 (32, 34, 34, 36, 36, 36) sts from holder, 5 sts from left back neck, 109 (109, 112, 112, 113, 115, 115) sts along left front, and 20 (22, 30, 34, 38, 42, 47) sts along left front bottom 300 (304, 328, 336, 348, 360, 370) sts. Work in k1, p1 rib until neck trim measures 1.25"/3cm. BO loosely in rib pattern. Note: I suggest using the kitchener stitch bind off for the neck. It makes a nice clean edge and will avoid any problems with the bind off being too tight. It takes a bit longer to work, but I think the beautiful result is worth it! Set in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams together. On left front side seam, leave a .5"/1.25cm hole approximately 7"/18cm up from bottom to slip inside tie through. Ties: With crochet hook and 2 ends of yarn held together, work in chain stitch until tie measures approximately 70 (70, 74, 83, 90, 98, 106)"/178 (178, 188, 211, 229, 249, 269)cm long. Repeat for other tie and make 63 (63, 67, 76, 83, 91, 97)"/160 (160, 170, 193, 211, 231, 246)cm long. Sew longer tie securely to the left front and the shorter tie to the right front at the tip of the curve. Weave in ends.
