AboutOCPF
The Office of Campaign and Political Finance is a non-partisan,
independent agency established in 1973. Portions of the state
campaign finance law were onthe books as early as 1884.
The agency, which administers MGL Chapter 55, is headed
by a director who is appointed by a commission and serves a
term of six years.
More than 2,600 committees are organized with OCPF.
Those committees filed more than 23,000 electronic
disclosure reports in 2010.
