Someone once told me that sound waves go on forever. Once a word leaves your mouth the sound it makes travels on into infinity. I dont know if this is true or not, but the thought of every word I ever said floating around in space forever is quite daunting. Many times I

CHANGING PITY TO PRAISE

By Kelly Gardner "For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." Philippians 2:13 It all begins so innocently really... A simple conversation to ourselves after many long hours of chores around the house. "You finished the laundry. You did the dishes. You made dinner. You are such a good servant. Nobody realizes how hard you work! Just work a little longer and then you can take a break. Whoops! No break, Oh-well, maybe next time."

I had to think about that... You see, it is God working in and through us. Philippians 2:13 "For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." Sometimes we are under the impression that it is only when we are doing "church" activities that God is working through us. But that isn't true. God works in us even when we are making beds or cleaning toilets. I know I spend time talking to God throughout my day regardless of what I am doing. It says in Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

If Christ is the one who is strengthening us, then when we are Maybe conversations like this happen throughout your day with going through our day, we can replace the self-pity "You did it!" work, kids, etc... and little "pity-parties" keep happening for you. Honor Gods Words
By Mary Jane Robinette The more I read Gods words in my bible and reflect on what Gods expectations are for me, the more I find it is not an easy task to live the life of a Christian woman. A typical day of any woman is so demanding. But being a Christian woman those demands on us can be twice as hard to accomplish, in Christian way. Our number one enemy is the flesh life. The demands of everyday life can bring us to our knees in prayer asking for forgiveness for what we may have said or done in thought, word or deed. The attack of the daily life of a Christian woman is a constant reminder of the need to pray throughout our day and to stay in the Word of God. Psalm 15:1-2-3 NLT words that build others up, to make them feel special no matter what the circumstances may be surrounding them. Gods Words exhorts us to use moderation in every part of our life. Galatians 5:22-23-24 NLT But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to His cross and crucified them there. A Christian women should pattern her daily life as Jesus Christ lived His. Jesus walked this earth humbled and willing to serve His heavenly Father by being obedient in following His commandments. The Lord our Maker speaks to us through His Words in the bible. If we stay in His Word, if we Honor Gods Words every day in our daily life we can enter into His sanctuary filled with praise and worship on our lips, and love in our hearts. God wants us to take care and speak friend who sticks closer than a brother. Jesus is that friend. He will never leave us. He is always ready to walk with us, listen to us, to fill us to overflowing with love. Take your friend Jesus with you everywhere you go. Proudly show off your friend to all those in your life and you will be honoring Gods Words everyday.

DEVOTIONAL WORDS with a Mission

By Kelly Gardner My husband likes to tease me and ask, How is your bloggetty- blog-blog doing? I actually love it when he asks, because it always leads me then to respond with the opportunity to invite him to listen while I read to him the daily post. I love to hear his feedback. He is always positive and encouraging when it comes to my writing for the Lord, even when I feel discouraged because I feel no one really reads or is interested in When I looked at where these words were traveling I couldnt help but pray that God would bless the readers, bring them to salvation and a deeper love of Jesus Christ. Readers were coming from: the United States, Pakistan, India, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Canada, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, Netherlands, Greece, Ireland, Germany, Romania, and Slovenia. I wonder if this really could be for real, have I really been given the opportunity to share Jesus Christ with my words. Today after posting on the Joyful books blog I took a moment to look at the titles of all the recent posts. GODS WORDS OF PROMISE
By Mary Jane Robinette March brings spring and the promise of the rebirth of natures beauty. The essences of Gods promises fills our surroundings. To me the long days of winter are like hibernating inside a crystal clear ice cocoon. It feels as though the biting cold that penetrates my skin will never release me from its Jack Frost entrapment. Then it happens; a seasonal awakening. I am set free to be a witness to spring as it makes a welcomed arrival. The bleak cocoon that imprisoned me these dreary and long wintry months breaks open. I feel the light of promise. I am captivated by the rebirth of natures beauty. I see a robin struggling to secure a worm from the thawing ground. Instinct tells this long slender creature to fight, not wanting to leave its dark earthen tomb. I see the crocus suddenly appear overnight, showing colors of purple, pink and blue with specks of snow, like powered sugar on their petals. This rebirth tells me the promise of a new beginning of life is about to happen. Im reborn into one more season of spring. The essences of Gods promises fills my world. I feel the warmth of the sunshine embracing my skin. My eyes witness the humbleness of the leaves and the flower buds unfolding into a beautiful creation of the Lords design; each leaf, each petal turning upward to greet their maker. I smell the sweet aromas of springtime all around me. The God of all creation has allowed me to witness His majestic artistry give His promise of new life to this awesome season. My frosty emotions are gone. My joy is in the promises of my LORD. Spring also brings a reminder of a different kind of rebirth, a different kind of newness to life. We are entering into a season of the year where our hearts and minds are reminded about spiritual rebirth. In just a few short weeks we will be approaching Holy Week. With this rebirth we will embrace the sweetness of Gods love. His gift of salvation, His only begotten son, the man Jesus Christ. Throughout this passion week we will have many reminders to humbly renew our senses of the sufferings and crucifixion of Jesus Christ during His last days on earth. Each one of us has our own way of drawing close to Jesus during His obedient act of sacrifice for our sins by surrendering to the cross. I have always enjoyed the stillness of the quiet evening to read Gods words. During this time of the year I am drawn to go to my special place to begin to read from my bible the events that happened following the Passover meal with Jesus and His disciples. On this particular night I settled myself into my comfortable rocking chair and prepared my heart in prayer to set my eyes and thoughts on the events leading to the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ on the cross. This night though with the late hour my head was soon nodding and the words before my eyes began to blur. The Holy Spirit soon guided me into a slumbered vision, allowing me to witness the agony of Jesus during His night of passion, prayers and obedience to His heavenly Father. Standing there hidden in the darkness a deep penetrating emotion of tears overpowered me as I found myself close by where Jesus knelt in prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. In that spiritual moment I stood alone in the darkness shivering in fear. The sounds of the night echoed around me. Not to far from me I saw 3 men, their bodies appearing to be in deep slumber where they laid on the ground. My vision focused ahead of me and my eyes beheld Jesus kneeling with his head looking upward to heaven and deeply consumed in prayer. It was then I witnessed him fall to His face and I heard Him crying out to His Abba Father. I sorrowed in my heart as he pulled Himself to His knees and I could see His chest heaving in breaths that were holding back shortened sobs of anguish. My deep concentration allowed me to hear the sound of His voice calling out in prayer to His Father in heaven. "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; Nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." Matthew 26:39 I longed to put my arms around my Lord and console Him. As I gazed upon the eyes of Jesus Christ I could see love on His face; even though His cries in prayer to His Father were for release from this act of dying for the sins of mankind. In my sadness I found myself weeping as I watched tears and sweat in beads of blood shed from the pores of his skin. I could clearly see each grieving teardrop roll down from His face and stain His white course garment. I yearned to be able to reach over and wipe the red drippings from His moist skin. I could not control my trembling. I continued to stand watch as Jesus prayed for His Father to lift this burden of the cross from Him. But I already knew that it was written that He would follow His Fathers commands knowing that His work on this earth neared its end, we as sinners guilty of crucifying Jesus

Christ. My senses startled as I stood there in the darkness hearing the approaching soldiers, their whips snapping against the ground, the cracking sound of wooden clubs banging against the trees penetrated my ears; their guide Judas, who was about to betray His master with a kiss, was leading them. Immediately he went up to Jesus and said, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed Him. Matthew 26:49 I covered my mouth to silence my sobbing as I watched them torment my Lord and bind His hands. I was left alone in the darkness as they lead Jesus away from His garden of prayer. The sleeping apostles had already awakened and fled out of fear. Too quickly my presence in the garden faded and I left my slumber, my eyes refocusing on the words before me: a humbling silence of love took over my heart and mind as I prepared myself to read on and follow Jesus with each step He took to the cross. The events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ had begun. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17. NKJ

on him." John 3:36 NIV Gods words promises us spiritual rebirth. Spring is the arrival of new life, a precious gift to us by God to remind us that He is the Creator, the LORD of all. God gave us His son to come into this world so that all people have the opportunity to be spiritually born again into a newness of life, a promise of eternal life in heaven.

As Christians and sisters in Christ it is our responsibility to get Gods words of promise out to all those who are not saved so that they to may share in this spiritual gift of love and rebirth. We must spread the word to all lost souls that will listen; plant the seeds, the word of God, and let them know that today is the day of their salvation if they confess they are sinners and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The message we share is clear; without stepping out in faith and believing, man will die in death and suffer eternally in hell for their sins. Our eternal life begins the moment of spiritual rebirth. When we close our eyes for the last time our physical life ends, but our soul, our consciousness, our spirit, lives on eternally, either in heaven in the presence of God, or for all eternity in hell. All we are doing is changing our We do not become children of God and heirs to the address. Read and share Gods words of Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever promise. Stay in the word! When I Survey the Wondrous Cross
By Isaac Watts 1674-1748

Save in the death of Christ my God; All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood. See, from head, His hands, His feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down; Did eer such love and sorrow meet,

Or thorns compose so rich a crown. Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small; Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all.

When I survey the wondrous cross, On which the Prince of glory died, My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride. Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
