LAW AND GRACE

y Ephesians 2:8,9
8. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God 9. not because of works, lest any man should boast.

y Acts 4:12
12. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

y Romans 6:12 15
12. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal bodies, to make you obey their passions. 13. Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of wickedness, but yield yourselves to God as men who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments of righteousness. 14. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace 15. What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!

y Matthew 5: 17 19
17."Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them. 18. For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. 19. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

y I John 3:4
Every one who commits sin is guilty of lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.

y Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

y Romans 8:1 4
1. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death. 3. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do: sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, 4. in order that the just requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

y Romans 7:7, 8
7. What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet, if it had not been for the law, I should not have known sin. I should not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, "You shall not covet." 8. But sin, finding opportunity in the commandment, wrought in me all kinds of covetousness. Apart from the law sin lies dead.

y Ephesians 2: 14 16
14. For he is our peace, who has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility, 15. by abolishing in his flesh the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16. and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby bringing the hostility to an end.

y Romans 1:5
5. through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations,
