Asia GSB

Message from the

Chairman
Welcome to Asia Graduate School of Business (AsiaGSB) the business school with an Asian focus and a global perspective. AsiaGSB has been established with the goal of evolving postgraduate business education with specific attention to the economies and industries of the Asian Continent. The world has shifted its attention to Asia as it is poised to become the economic engine for the next century of global business. It is imperative for Asian managers to assimilate the economic and cultural diversity of Asia, layering it with a study of global business. Few business schools today are engaging in introspection and analysis of their course offerings and learning outcomes. Fewer still are taking a hard look at their teaching methods and the specific needs of their students. From the inception, AsiaGSB is establishing a knowledge-core focused research, and exchanging teaching resources from the world over, to deliver relevant and actionable programs. AsiaGSB is a product of eighteen years introspection on What transforms a business school into a leading institution? The school is an initiative, built upon the concepts distilled from our rich and diverse experiences at the Institute for Technology and Management (ITM) Group of Institutions. In this era of globalization and liberalization, ITM Group lives up to its incomparable image and perseveres to promise the tomorrow of your dreams. Excellence and perfection shall always form the silhouette of ITM-AsiaGSB and in this endeavor I wish all the applicants the very best. Godspeed Dr. P Ramana .V.

Placement

Process

The placement process aims at ensuring the best fit between the students and recruiters. This process shall be conducted on Cohort System. The placement scheduling would be as per mutual understanding between recruiters and Career Advancement Team. AsiaGSB has launched the 'talent-team' system which shall allow the candidates to learn more about the recruiters, sectors and industries and take more informed decision. This is an internally developed system as part of Cohort that allows interaction between the recruiters and students using networking tools, of which details shall be worked out with recruiter. In this system the recruiter and candidates will get ample time to discuss the potential positions with their roles and responsibilities. Final Placements Final placement interview gives the company and the student an opportunity to discuss the role in detail and make the right choice. The final placement process is conducted over an extended period of time beginning in the third week of February. This gives the companies ample time for customized selection processes that may be required, given the Cohort hiring process. Companies are requested to schedule their final placement interviews at least two weeks after their pre-placement talk. Offers and Acceptance The recruiter is expected to make a written offer to the selected student after the final interview. The offer shall include details such as role & responsibilities, location of the posting, remuneration, and other relevant terms and conditions that are required by the candidate to make a favorable decision. The acceptance of the offer shall be governed by placement rules of the Institute. AsiaGSB allows a student to receive and accept only one offer. Thereafter the student exits placement process. At the end of the process the decision of the student is conveyed to the recruiter by the Career Advancement Team. With this process, our intent is to make the placement process conducive to both the companies and the students.
