Teaching and learning activitiy: STAGE/TIME PRE-WRITING ( 3 minutes) Rational To stimulate pupils interest towards the topic. ACTIVITIES/CONTENT 1. Sing a song related to animals. 2. Oral questions based on the song. PRESENTATION/AVA 1. Teacher displays the lyric of the song on the board Old MacDonald (Appendix 1). 2. Pupils sing the song. 3. Teacher asks Wh questions about the song. Questions 1. What animals are mentioned in the song? (duck, cow, dog, cat) 2. Where do you think these animals are? ( in the farm) 3. Which animal is the biggest/ smallest? WHILE WRITING STAGE 1 (7 minutes) 1. Group-work: Mindmapping a picture of a cow. 2. Discussion. 3. Read out the key words Rational To enable the pupils to work collaboratively relating to the picture. 1. Teacher instructs pupils to get into groups of 5. 2.
