BY Vinod Bhasin Ji About Savan Month, I do know only to some extent that it is the Month when Shiv Bhakts in thousands go to Ganges and bring Holy Water and put it on the various Shiv Lingas.It is a Holy Month in that respect. Ganges is a symbol of Gyan i.e. Atam Gyan so people offer prayers when they visit Holy Places to bring Holy Water. Many travel on bare foot even.In this Month, there are celebrations when people enjoy Jhoola. When a person on Jhoola we do all know that he is in Anand Bhav i.e. a feeling of utter happiness and enjoyment.In general, people do enjoy rain and that also results into Happiness. This month also augments the change in weather from hot to a pleasant one.Lastly, as I do know that this is the month when all Saints stop their movement and be stationed at one place and do Tapas (penance) for Self-Realization. The Shishyas serve their respective Gurus and learn how to do penance.This Month also precedes with Guru Poornima or Vyas Pooja when people pray to their respective Gurus and seek their blessings. Following the saints and Gurus one attains self-realization as we do all know. Trust this may be of some interest to you. May God Bless all of us !!

While we may all seek to find a Guru, or teacher to help us along the path of illumination, to show us the way or point us in the right direction, ultimately the truth is that the Guru lies within each and every one of us. For only from within can we remove the veils of illusion that bind us to the artificial light of this earthly plane. Only we can light the lamp of knowledge, if we so desire it, so that we can see the truth and in doing so wake up from this deep maya or slumber. Many times, as we journey along this path to enlightenment, we learn how to tap into our inner-selves, through the awareness of other fellow travelers. By sharing, not only our triumphs, but more importantly our failures, we grow and rise higher and higher towards that one goalto return to that place of Universal Love. Guru is this place of sharing and exchanging of ideas, thoughts, feelings, triumphs and non-achievements. It is a place where the questions can sometimes be more thought provoking than the answerswhere we come together as a spiritual family to teach each other, to learn from one another, to help each other on this sometimes difficult path. Even though the path may be thorny, it is made less prickly by the rose petals laid down by our spiritual brothers and sisters as we unite.

power to do things?.(knowledge,memory) Answer God does everything through material nature (prakriti)according to our desire. Still, we have responsibility because we make the choices for those activities within our purview. God tests our decisions and choices to see how close we are to Him. 3) It is said in the Bhagavad Geeta that the world is unreal. So can't we think that the world is real and have attachments. What is unreal? Answer The world is unreal because it is temporary. The fleeting and ephemeral nature of the world is the reason we should not take the sorrows and joys of the world to heart. When you dream, you may laugh and cry. Yet when you awake, you realize how foolish it was to take this dream seriously. When you wake up from this life, you will realize how foolish you were to take the events of this world so seriously and to have attachments to such temporary things.
