the DREAM thats in you and Live an EXTRAORDINARY LIFE

In the Book of Genesis Chapter 1, verses 11-13 it says, Then

God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit after it kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the third day.
God placed a dream inside of you. Your dream is a seed. That seed holds within itself the potential for you having an incredible life that will enrich you and everyone who crosses your path. Your dreams are the DNA of the unique person that you are. When it is RELEASED it will create a pathway to the life that you were created to experience.

Your dreams are more than fantasies hidden away in the recesses of your mind. They are more than visions of a life that you might believe you were never meant to experience. Your dream is the seed that when brought forth will you give you the life that God wants you to live. The seed inside of you must come forth for the benefit of the world. Your dream is the seed that holds all the potential of your greatness. But if it remains hidden inside of you that are all it will ever be is potential. But when potential is released it becomes power, power to change the world and every person that will benefit from it. I am excited to have this opportunity to come alongside you and empower you on how to RELEASE the Dream thats inside of you. The principles that I will communicate to you are written as the acronym R.E.L.E.A.S.E. In each letter of this acronym I will share a principle that I believe will help you to bring out of your imagination and mind the dream that will create for you an extraordinary life. What does the acronym R.E.L.E.A.S.E. stand for? R is the principle Recognition. E is the principle Expectation.
www.BernardBoulton.com 2

L is the principle Leaving. E is the principle Execution. A is the principle Association. S is the principle Steps. E is the principle Endurance. I believe that if you incorporate these seven principles in your life you will RELEASE your dreams. I am excited about these principles because I have used them in my own life to bring forth my own dreams! I know that it will happen to you. May God bless you in your journey to LIVING YOUR DREAMS INSTEAD OF DREAMING ABOUT LIVING! 1. PRINCIPLE OF RECOGNITION The first step in RELEASE is to recognize the dreams that God has in your imagination. Everything that you need to be successful is within you. Now you must recognize what that is. You were born with dreams. When you were a child you had a very active imagination. There was something that you wanted to do
www.BernardBoulton.com 3

when you grew up. There was someplace you wanted to go when you grew up. Not only did you have those dreams but you shared your dreams with others. But then something happened. You lost your ability to dream. It may have happened when you became an adult. You stopped believing in what you were seeing within yourselves. And as you got older you also lost your passion and interest in life. It is my assignment in your life as you read these words to help you recognize what is still living inside of you. It is time for you to recognize what you are supposed to be doing, and where you are supposed to be. Its time to awaken the dreams inside of you. The principle of recognition is seeing within yourself what makes you an extraordinary person. Recognition is seeing what makes you a unique person. It is what makes you rise above the ordinary by seeing the extraordinary inside of yourself. The first step in recognition is to take an inward look at yourself. If you are not currently making your dreams come true you have to start seeing that there is more to you than who you are right now. You have to start seeing your dreams. You have to start speaking your
www.BernardBoulton.com 4

dreams. If there is no one in your circle that you can share your dreams with then share them with God. He will never belittle you or criticize you. You know why? Because it was God who set those dreams in your heart. The second step in recognition is to see what you want to accomplish with your dreams. At this point dont worry about the process or concern yourself about how you will make this happen. Recognition is all about seeing the fullness of what will happen in your life as your dreams come forth. You are seeing the future before you arrive in the future. Enjoy what you see. Recognize that this is the key to you living an incredible life. The third step in recognition is to start writing notes or write in a journal the dreams that you are beginning to recognize. Read to yourself what you are discovering as you look within yourself. Recognition is so important because this is where your journey begins. Youve taken the first step to your future. You are empowering yourself to know what you can do and will do.

www.BernardBoulton.com 5

When you recognize what you believe you can accomplish then you start believing in yourself and start moving toward what you see and recognize. You will never make your dreams happen until you recognize that it can happen. Greatness is not the result of a sporadic, spontaneous act but it is the result of knowing who you are and doing what you know you can do. If you can dream it you can do it. PRINCIPLES WITHIN THE PRINCIPLE: 1. Your dreams are mental pictures that excite you about the possibility of your life in the future. 2. When you see your dreams you have to start speaking your dreams. 3. Find a person in your life that you can share your dreams with. 4. Keep a dream journal. Write down what you see yourself accomplishing because of your dreams.

2. PRINCIPLE OF EXPECTATION To expect something means to look forward to it happening. Once you begin to recognize what your dreams are and what you can do to bring your dreams forth then the next principle to follow is the Principle of Expectation. In this principle you develop an attitude that expects your dreams to come forth. Expect your dreams to change things in your life. Expect things to happen for you because of your dreams. Expect yours dreams to set you apart as the unique person you were created by God to be. Expectation is the most important attitude that you can have because it is the foundational attitude that will determine how far you will go to seeing everything in you RELEASED. Expectation builds your confidence and confidence produces results. A confident person is always willing to act on what he needs to do to have success. A confident person is willing to pay the price to win the prize. The farmer who sows seeds expects a harvest before he plants the first seeds. After he plants the seeds he takes care of his crop
www.BernardBoulton.com 7

because he expects it to grow into a mature crop. Everything that he does for the crop is in expectation of a harvest. He would not waste precious time planting and cultivating a crop if he didnt expect to receive the harvest. The farmers expectation is the greatest between his planting seeds and seeing the first signs of the crop growing out of the earth. If the farmer stops expecting his harvest then he will stop caring about the crop. He will stop taking care of it. Every day he goes to the field is a testimony to his expectation. You are a farmer planting and cultivating your dreams. As you watch over your dreams youve also got to watch over your attitude of expectation. Just as your dreams need to be protected so does your expectation. The day you stop expecting your dreams to come true is the day that your dreams die. You will never achieve your dreams if you dont expect to achieve your dreams. Expectation is important because it keeps you patient in the process. Remember when I told you that when you recognize what God has put inside you should see it in its finished form. You should see it
www.BernardBoulton.com 8

at the end. After you see it finished then you will have to start planning on how to make it happen and at that point you will need expectation. Expectation keeps you looking ahead as you move through the process. Your consistent performance of making your dreams come true is largely determined by your expectation. Expectation drives you to never give up. It is attitude of today that keeps you believing that something is going to happen tomorrow. Expectation opens the window of your imagination where your dreams live and allows them to peek out into the world where they will one day live. It keeps you looking beyond your present horizons. Expect your dreams to come true and they will. Believe in your dreams. Its going to be better than today. Expect it! PRINCIPLES WITHIN THE PRINCIPLE: 1. Expectation is the foundational attitude for making your dreams come true. 2. Your expectation has to be protected.

3. PRINCIPLE OF LEAVING When God showed Abraham a new life in a new land Abraham had to leave his old life, his family and the country of his birth. When Moses heard God tell him to go back to Egypt and lead Israel to freedom Moses had to leave the comfortable life that he had built with his wife and family. When Jesus Christ came to save the world He had to leave the glories of heaven to live on earth as a man. To RELEASE and live your dreams there are some things that you are going to have to leave. Leaving isnt easy but it is necessary. So what do you have to leave? 1. You have to leave a life where your dreams cant live. Your dreams cannot live where there is no expectation. Your dreams cannot live in circumstances that keep you focused on surviving, existing and barely living without purpose and passion.

www.BernardBoulton.com 10

You have to embrace a life that has rooms for your expectations and belief that you can do what is in your heart. You can achieve what you believe about yourself. 2. You have to leave mediocrity. Scott Alexander said, Mediocrity is easy. Stay away from easy. Dreaming is easy. Everyone does it but to bring your dreams forth puts you above mediocrity. You have the potential to have a life that is above adequate and acceptable. Living your dreams means living a special life. A different life. A dreamer who lives every day with the purpose of making their dreams come true will never be mediocre. So you have to leave mediocrity. Thats the life that you had before you started believing that God has more life for you. Its the life of going to work everyday and hating what you do. It is the life of routine, of boredom. When you start living your dreams you will never again live a normal life. You will never again live a life thats not incredible. 3. You have to leave a toxic atmosphere. Your atmosphere is determined by your consistent words and actions. Very recently I
www.BernardBoulton.com 11

heard a person who is living an incredible life say that when they have a guest in their home and the person starts to speak negatively that person is invited to leave. The owner of the house is determined to protect the atmosphere of their home. You have to protect the atmosphere of your dreams. You have to speak words that will bring the RELEASE your dreams and you have to surround yourself with positive people. Nothing inhibits your dreams like living in an atmosphere that objects to your dreams. An atmosphere that says, You will never do this. Thats not for you. Who do you think that you are? Youre no better than anyone else. 4. You have to leave distractions. I have discovered that a life of bringing forth your dreams is a life filled with distractions. There is always something pulling at your time and calling you to other places that has nothing to do with your dream. If you are like most persons there is a lot that you have to do each day. But you
www.BernardBoulton.com 12

have to prioritize time to spend on making your dreams come forward. And you have to protect that time, much like you have to protect your expectation. You will not RELEASE your dreams if you are spending all your time at work. Now I know that you have to work and you have to spend time on your job or you will not have a job but many persons are still on the job when their workday is over. Hours after they have completed work they are still talking about the kind of day that they had. They make no time for their dreams. If your dream is your job thats great but many people on this planet is not working their dreams. They are distracted by their jobs. Leave your work at work and let your home be the place where your dreams are being recognized and expected to come forth. Matter of fact when you go to work tomorrow why dont you take a dream break? Take your dream journal to work with you and use your break to read and visualize your dreams. You will not RELEASE your dreams if you are spending all your free time being entertained. Stop being distracted by your

www.BernardBoulton.com 13

television, your face book page and whatever you connect with to get over the boredom in your life. Give half of that time to your dreams. I know that you need to relax but after you relax its time to RELEASE! Its time to leave those things that are taking authority over your life and impeding your dreams. You are leaving something to gain something greater. Its time to say goodbye to a life where dreams never come true. PRINCIPLES WITHIN THE PRINCIPLE: 1. Releasing your dreams requires you leaving something behind. 2. Mediocrity inhibits dreams. 3. Your atmosphere is determined by your consistent words and actions.

www.BernardBoulton.com 14

4. PRINCIPLE OF EXECUTION Okay weve shared how to recognize our dreams, how to expect our dreams to come true and how to leave anything that impedes our dreams. Once you know what your dreams are then it is time to execute your dreams. It is time to start acting on bringing these dreams forth. They have remained inside of you long enough. Now they need to come forward. The principle of Execution is doing something after you discover what you know about your dreams. William Arthur Ward said, Plan purposefully. Prepare prayerfully. Proceed positively. Pursue persistently. The first step in executing your dreams is to develop a plan to make your dreams come true. If your dream is writing a book then you need to develop a plan to write a book. If your dream is to create a business then you need to develop a plan to create a business. You develop a plan by writing it out. What is your dream and what do you

www.BernardBoulton.com 15

have to do to make it happen? Who will be your mentor or coach? Who can be on your team to make your dream happen? The second step is to carry out the plan that you have developed. What do you need to do to give your dream life? The plan to execute should involve the following points: 1. Write down your dream or dreams. 2. Write down the activities that you must follow to make your dreams come forward. 3. Measure your progress by the activities that you are successfully accomplishing. 4. Dont give up! Executing your dreams means to act on what you believe can happen for you and by you. Executing your dreams is putting actions to what you have discovered within yourself. DREAMS+EXECUTION= AN INCREDIBLE LIFE!

www.BernardBoulton.com 16

To really get you focused about executing your dreams I want you to make a commitment to yourself in the covenant that I have written for you. I hope that this document will help you to take your plan off of paper and make it happen.

I _______________________ agree with myself to start executing my dream on the mentioned date ______________________ at that the mentioned time ___________________________________________. I enter into this agreement fully aware of this exciting part of my life that I am going to pursue at the above mentioned date and time. I make this agreement with a made up mind to execute the beginning of my dreams. I sign this contract in the presence of God who had deposited this dream in me. _____________________________________________________________________________
Sign your name on this line. Continue to execute until you reach accomplishment! PRINCIPLES WITHIN THE PRINCIPLES: 1. Execute your dreams by writing a detailed plan.
www.BernardBoulton.com 17

2. Follow your plan daily.

5. PRINCIPLE OF ASSOCIATION He that walks with wise men shall be wise (Proverbs 13:20). As you execute your dreams you need people in your life that can help you bring them to pass. You need people who are pursuing their dreams or people who have succeeded as dreamers. There will be people in your life who will try to pull down and tell you that your dreams will never happen. To counteract negative people you need people in your life that will pull you up and tell you that with God all things are possible. Those are the people you want to associate with. You have to be selective with who you associate with. You may not be able to choose who your family is. You may not be able to choose the people that you work with or the people that you go to church with but you can choose who is eligible to take space in your

www.BernardBoulton.com 18

life. You can choose who has the right to speak into your life and whose voice you hear. The associate that you need to encourage you in your dreams are people who recognize what you see in yourself. They are people who live with an attitude of expectation. They are people who understand the principle of leaving the negative influences in life to achieve the impossible. And they know how to execute a plan that makes things happen in their life. Your associate will help you to create an atmosphere that will make your dreams come true. Your associates fall into three categories. 1. Mentors: One who as experience in the field that you are dreaming about and want to bring forth into your life. One who will guide you in becoming and doing what you are dreaming about. 2. Associates: People who connect with you and help you realize your dreams. A person who spends time with you and partners with you in bringing your dreams to fruition.
www.BernardBoulton.com 19

A partner who motivates you in the pursuit of your dreams. 3. Friends: Someone who is emotionally connected with you and has a distinct purpose in your life. A person that you can trust with your dreams. A person who supports you in the pursuit of your dreams. A person who will fight by your side to see your dream come true. Pursuing dreams can be lonely but with the right associates you can stay motivated. With the right kind of associates you will be encouraged and empowered to go after your dreams. One reason why you need to associate with the right people is because every dreamer has weaknesses. And unfortunately because of these weaknesses a dreamer will navigate toward people with the same weaknesses. Two people connected by their weaknesses will never be able to empower each other. When you know what your weaknesses are you need someone who is strong to complement you and challenge you to rise above what will hinder you. There nothing wrong with having weaknesses,
www.BernardBoulton.com 20

we all do but to get to the place where you are bringing forth your dreams to live an incredible life you will need some strong associates in your life. Where do you find these associates? You will find them in your family, among your friends, at your church, the place where you are employed. But the place where I think you will have a great modicum of success is on the Social Networks. Over the last eleven years some of the greatest relationships that I have found have been on social networks. Way before Face book I was finding people on Yahoo Groups and in chat rooms. Most of the associates who have helped me to pursue my dreams and succeed have been people that Ive connected with on Social Networks. In my opinion Face book is a gold mine for dreamers. Start connecting with people who are already where you want to be. Start looking for mentors and you may also find some friends. You can probably fulfill your dreams alone but with associates in your life your time to fulfill your dreams will accelerate. PRINCIPLES WITHIN THE PRINCIPLE:
www.BernardBoulton.com 21

1. Who your associate is will largely determine your success. 2. An associate is someone who can help accelerate your dreams. 6. PRINCIPLE OF STEPS Im sure that you are wondering what I am talking about when I use the word Steps. In the principle of association I gave you a definition of what a mentor is and what an associate is. Now I want to share with you why it is so important to have a mentor in your life. A mentor is someone who has already traveled the path that you are on. They have already dreamed and brought their dreams forward. They are living the life that their dreams said that they would live and now they are willing to teach you how to do the same thing. With the right mentor what would have taken you five years may only take you five months. Your mentor is someone who sees the potential in you and sees the power of your dreams. He is in your life to teach you how to make those dreams come true. He helps you in each step of RELEASING your Dreams. He is able to help you see what your dreams are. He has the ability to help you discover what a realistic dream is and what an
www.BernardBoulton.com 22

unrealistic dream is. He is the helper in your life much like the Holy Spirit but he is human and not divine. And dont make him divine. Listen to him but the final decision is yours. Dont become so dependent on your mentor until you stop trusting in your own judgment. He is in your life to help you not to carry you. Your mentor is the expert in your life who is going to help you get there. Where is there? There is the place where your dreams come to life and you start living the life that your dreams have created for you. Your mentor is qualified to be your mentor because of the Steps that he has taken to make his dreams come true. Now he is in your life to help you take the Steps to see your dreams come true. A mentor is proven because of the path that he has already established. All you have to do is walk in the same path to see your dreams come true. These Steps are positive experiences that your mentor has had and they are negative experiences that he has overcome. Because you have a mentor you can avoid the negatives and you can maximize the positives.

www.BernardBoulton.com 23

I want to show you the Steps that you should learn from your mentor by using an acronym from the word STEPS which stands for Sacrifices, Tests, Evidence, Priorities, Secrets. These STEPS will create the path that you should follow as you bring your dreams to fruition. 1. Sacrifice: Learn what sacrifices your mentor had to make to achieve his dreams. Learn what he had to give up in pursuit of his own dreams. 2. Test: What situations did your mentor experience that taught him something about himself? 3. Evidence: What proof does your mentor has to show you that his claims are legitimate? What information is he willing to share with you of his proven success? 4. Priorities: What are your mentor daily habits that have enabled him to succeed? What are the important things in his life that he refuses to give up? What is the most important thing in his life and what is the least important thing in his life?

www.BernardBoulton.com 24

5. Secret: What information does he have to share with you that others dont know? What is the key to his dreams coming true that is not generally known? Your mentor should be someone who has used these Steps or something similar to them to create a path for you to walk in. Because the path has already been created all you have to do is follow it to the letter and achieve your dreams! As I said earlier what took others years should only take you months or days. Your mentor has already pioneered the way for you to walk in to live your dreams! PRINCIPLES WITHIN THE PRINCIPLE: 1. A mentor has already traveled the path that you are on. 2. A mentor helps you in every step to RELEASE your Dreams. 3. A mentor has proven himself to you by the STEPS that he has taken? 4. A mentor helps you accelerate your ability to bring your dreams to pass.
www.BernardBoulton.com 25

7. PRINCIPLE OF ENDURANCE The final principle in making your dreams come true is the principle of endurance. Going after your dreams is not an easy pursuit because there are many forces aligned against you. To get to the place of success, the place where your dreams are coming true you are going to face many problems. And how you deal with these problems will determine will your dreams come true? Do you have what it takes to make them come true? If you said yes then you have endurance. You will have to keep going as you encounter setbacks. You will have to keep your focus as you face obstacles. You will have to push through when everything in you says quit. There are many voices that you have to overcome to reach your dreams. The voice of fear will tell you that you cant do it. The voice of procrastination will tell you to wait for a better time. The voice of today will tell you that you have too much to do all ready. The voice of
www.BernardBoulton.com 26

failure will tell you that you are setting yourself up for a fall. The voice of jealousy will tell you, you dont have what it takes to make your dreams come true. Endurance is a mindset that says you are going to finish what you have started. The truth of the matter is that you will win if you follow these principles but you will also struggle as you rise up to achieve the dreams that are in you. Unfortunately the great things that we have to achieve in life do not come with struggling through a maze of disturbances. And this is the reason why many will never see their dreams come to pass because they didnt endure when trouble came. Endurance is what you will need when you encounter resistance to your dreams. Endurance is the ability to get up and keep going when youve taken a fall. It is your daily determination to keep on going until your dreams come forth. Endurance is your power. It is the ability to hold on to your dream and pursue it no matter what tries to stop you. Doubt and fear is the
www.BernardBoulton.com 27

enemies of your dreams. Endurance enables you to overcome them every time. Endure. Dont give up. Keep on going! PRINCIPLES WITHIN THE PRINCIPLE: 1. Endurance is facing the problems that you will encounter as you pursue the Release of your Dreams. 2. Endurance is a mindset. 3. Endurance is that the power that enables you in bringing your dreams to pass.
