INTRODUÇÃO
A aprendizagem de uma língua estrangeira é, em si mesma, uma experiência
de comunicação, abertura e interacção social, cultural, tecnológica e científica.
Assim, tendo como base a identidade cultural e linguística do aluno, deve permitir
lhe descobrir e valorizar os povos de diferentes comunidades, alargando os seus
horizontes culturais e sociais, enriquecendo a sua personalidade, fomentando o são
convívio e compreensão entre todos, levando o a reflectir criticamente sobre a sua
própria cultura, no sentido de a valorizar ainda mais.
A língua inglesa possui uma situação proeminente dado ser a língua mais
internacional, uma das línguas oficiais da ONU e veículo de acesso à investigação
e informação.

Funcionamento da língua
›› Reconhecer a estrutura da frase simples;
›› Distinguir e identificar as palavras ou ou expressão que, numa oração,
desempenham funções essenciais e acessórios (ex: agente da passiva,
complemento determinativo);
›› Distinguir as formas de ligação de orações (coordenação e subordinação);
›› Distinguir e identificar diferentes classes de palavras (adjectivos, verbos,
conjunções, etc...);
›› Sistematizar os conhecimentos relativos à conjugação dos verbos auxiliares,
modais, regulares e irregulares (tempos compostos de todos os modos e das
formas nominais formados com os auxiliares be e have;
›› Combinar, em contextos diversos, o pronome pessoal completo com as
formas verbais;
›› Identificar e utilizar diferentes modos de representação do discurso (directo
e indirecto); transformar o discurso directo em indirecto e vice-versa.

AVALIAÇÃO
O professor utilizará testes diagnósticos, formativos, sumativos e fichas de
trabalho, entre outras ferramentas de avaliação. Promoverá as quatro “skills”
ao longo de todo o processo de ensino e aprendizagem, fomentando a auto e
heteroavaliação.
