It is our hope and prayer that you feel at home with us at weekend masses, prayer times, and parish activities. SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM: Arrangements for baptisms are made by attending a preparation meeting. Parish registration is a prerequisite for attending the meeting. SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY: Please allow eight months of preparation time. Date arrangements are made after the initial meeting with pastor or a representative before any other commitments are made. ANOINTING OF THE SICK: If you or one of your loved ones are in need of the Sacrament contact the rectory or see the priest after Mass. In case of an emergency of illness or death, please contact the rectory, ext 1. SACRAMENT PREPARATION FOR CHILDREN: A child must be registered in Religious Education classes for two years prior to receiving the Sacraments of Initiation. RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS: Individuals who are interested in becoming in full communion with the Catholic Church ought to contact the parish rectory for an appointment.

Wedding Anniversary Mass


The Diocese of Joliet will hold its Thirty-third annual Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Raymond in Joliet. If you are celebrating either your 25th or 50th anniversary this year, please contact the rectory so that we may submit your name to the Diocese for a formal invitation. The deadline to submit your name will be on July 5, 2011.

Carnations for Dads Fathers Day - June 19th


The Council of Catholic Women invites you to be part of our Flowers for Fathers Day project. To have their names printed in the a special insert in the Bulletin on Father's Day and to order Carnations to honor your Father. Grand Fathers and God Fathers. Simply write the names you wish to remember printed in all capital letters and add your name and phone number along with $2.00 for each Carnation you order. Then place completed orders with payment in an envelope marked CCW Flowers in the collection basket during Mass. Flowers will be handed out to those who ordered them on Father's Day. The deadline for ordering flowers is Sunday June 5th and the deadline to have the names published in the bulletin is - June 12th .

Commission Mission Statements Administration: The Administration Commission of Christ the King under the guidance of the Holy Spirit strives to promote the financial well-being of the Parish, to maintain and upgrade its physical plant and to develop the financial resources for the ongoing expansion and mission of the various Parish ministries. Christian Service: The mission of Christ the Kings Christian Service Commission is to enable the parish community to put into practice the social teachings of the church as encouraged and expressed by the corporal works of mercy. The commission encourages continuation and growth in activities and ministries that reflect the needs in parish diversity. Faith Formation: To gather Gods people in lifelong learning experiences where faith may be nourished, a right relationship with God and each other may be practiced, and Christs directives to love and serve Him through others might be practiced and encouraged. Worship: To celebrate Gods glory in prayer, to be a welcoming presence to our brothers and sisters, to experience the call of the Holy Spirit in worship, and to sense the presence of Christ, who is our King, touching our hearts and transforming our lives.
