Introduction
This report proposal is prepared to fulfill the requirement of HRM course. This proposed report will be done on Standard Chartered Bank (SCB).In this report we will try to focus in Strategic HRM practices in SCB. We will try to show what the effects of their Strategic HRM practices on employees are. We will also try to analyze what can be the best Strategic HRM practices for them.

Statement of the Problem


The Strategic HRM practices of SCB and its effect.

Objectives of the Report


The thesis has been undertaken to assess the Strategic Human Resource Management practices of Standard Chartered Bank with the prime focus at formulation of strategies and tactics and how it contributes in implementing the strategies.

a) Broad Objective
Broad objective is to identify and understand the implementation of Strategic HRM practices in SCB.

b) Specific Objectives
Determine the method of Strategic HRM practices in SCB Understand the effectiveness of their approach Identify the affect on employees Identify is there any better Strategic HRM practices for SCB

Scope of the Report


As we know services are a growing industry of Bangladesh and many firms are striving to deliver value added services to the customers. In this regard banks are continuously focusing towards improving their services. Similar is the case with Standard Chartered Bank. This Bank has evolved tremendously during the last couple of years and now has become one of the leading banks in Bangladesh. Keeping this in view the study has been undertaken to identify the strategies and plans of the Bank and to identify the methods adopted by the Bank to train and motivate their people and work force.

Methodology: Data Sources & Activity Schedule


The information related to the project has been collected from the Standard Chartered Bank The methodology adopted is as follows: 1. Collection of data by conducting interviews of officials of the Bank 2. Frequent visits 3.Questionnaire 4.Internet Search

Limitations
There maybe difficulty in collecting information. HR department of SCB may not be cooperative Given time for preparing report is limited Sample size is limited.

Conclusion
Strategic HRM practices are very important part of HR activities and we hope that we will be able to learn more knowledge about Strategic HRM practices after completing our report and research.
