The President/Vice-President for Academic Affairs/Deans/Directors/Principals/ Heads of Schools Dear Sir/Madam: We are inviting you, your faculty, and colleagues to the 20th General Conference of the International Federation of Social Sciences Organizations (IFSSO) with the theme Social Science Perspectives on Human Security. The Conference will be held on November 18-20, 2011 at the Freedom Hall of the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) in Batangas City. The Conference speakers are distinguished social scientists from 16 countries. Please refer to the attached program and the endorsements of the Commission on Higher Education and the Department of Education. We encourage you to attend this activity as the conference topics are especially relevant for those engaged in teaching and research in the Social Sciences/Social Studies. Current studies on Human Security will be presented in the Conference, highlighting the theories and methods from the various Social Science disciplines and their implications for teaching, research, and extension. The registration fee is five thousand pesos (PHP 5,000) which covers the conference kit, abstract of papers, certificate of participation, and three lunches and six snacks for the duration of the Conference. A discounted rate of four thousand pesos (PHP 4,000) will be given to those who pay on or before September 30, 2011. Payments should be deposited at BPI Family Bank (Account number 5755-0610-36; Account Name: IFSSO) and a copy of the deposit slip should be presented upon registration.
