Bangladesh Journal of Medical Physics

ISSN-1727-6179
Subscription: Tk.300 (US$15.00 for other countries) per issue Notes for Authors Bangladesh Journal of Medical Physics considers research papers, scientific notes, conference papers and tutorial papers in the applications of physics, technology and engineering in medicine, written in English. Materials must be original, unpublished work and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The Editorial Board is responsible for the final acceptance of any paper and reviewed article. Boards decision is final in case of any controversy. Preparation of manuscripts: Manuscripts should be typed in Times New Roman font., single-spaced, for printing on A4 size paper with a margin of 1.1 inch (2.80cm) at the top and 1 inch (2.54cm) on all other sides in MS Word format. The top of the first page should have the full title (all capitals, bold, size 14), name(s) of authors (bold, size 12), affiliation with full address for correspondence (normal, size 11), followed by at least one email (normal, size 10). This should be followed by an abstract of not more than 250 words (normal, size 10), followed by a set of Keywords, and a short title with not more than 40 characters including spaces. The text should continue on the same page and arranged in the following sequence 1. INTRODUCTION, 2.MATERIALS AND METHODS, 3. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, 4. CONCLUSION (if necessary), ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS (if necessary) and REFERENCES. The manuscript of a full paper should be limited within 12 typewritten pages including tables, figures, graphs, references, etc while that of scientific notes should not exceed four pages. Review article on particular, on fairly wide topics of current interest, either invited or agreed with the Editor, should have an abstract and should not exceed 20 pages of type-scripts. Graphs and figures: Preferably these should be embedded within the body of the manuscript and should be of reproducible quality. The size of the figure should not be made larger than required to convey the information. Texts within the figures should be of a size that can be read with ease. The figure captions should be put in a text box, placed below the respective figure, and grouped together with it. The caption should be preceded with a figure number written as Fig.1:, etc. The grouped figure and caption should be embedded within the text at suitable locations with text wrapped around it (text wrapping style: square), if the width is half the width of the page or smaller. If the width is larger, text should be wrapped above and below the figure (text wrapping style: top and bottom). However, if the authors do not have adequate expertise, they can submit the figures separately. Tables: These should be embedded within the manuscript at suitable positions. To place the caption at the top of the table, insert a row, merge all the cells in the row, and write the caption inside this. Remove the borders of this caption-row on the top and the two sides. The caption should be preceded by the table no. as Table 1: etc. References: Vancouver style of referencing is to be followed, please see published articles in this issue Units and symbols: Metric and internationally accepted physical measurement units should be used. Submission: Should be made electronically in MSWORD (.doc or .docx format). If coloured figures are available, the authors are encouraged to send two versions of the manuscript, one with colour for online presentation, and the other in black and white for the hardcopy version. Submission address: Department of Biomedical Physics & Technology, University of Dhaka, Dhaka 1000, Bangladesh. Email: editor.bjmp@bmpaweb.org. Tel: +880-2-9661900 Ext 7011
