Bedford This twenty-second Brakfontein auction on 5 September was well-attended by 51 registered buyers. Breeds on the sale included Bonsmara, Hereford and Braford bulls. There was strong interest in the heifers on sale. The highest price for a Braford bull was R30 000 sold to AC King. A Hereford bull was sold for the highest price of R31 000. Hereford weaner heifers attracted a good average price of R4 000. Komga The Osterloh Studs ninth production sale was held on 11 September. The average price for 40 bulls was R21 000. The average price for 39 females was R5 785. The highest price of R38 000 was paid for the bull OBS 0520 and sold to Francois Norville from Adelaide. The second-highest price was R35 000 for the bull OBS 0571, sold to Athol Pienke from East London.
