• Reasearch of laser diagnostics to study sputtering processes from surfaces due to
the bombardment by energetic ions.
– Implemented the use of cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) using a
Nd:YAG laser as a diagnostic technique to make ultra-sensitive measurements
of sputtered particles in ion propulsion applications.
