Architecture

Todays architecture is characterized by unusual complexity: rigorous regulatory contexts, demanding schedules and budgets, the contradictory desires for design to both express a unique identity as well as achieve standardization, and the growing imperative for more sustainable buildings. Our architects and interior designers strive for a balance between art and technology, form and function, beauty and purpose, vision and performance. Problem solvers by nature, we listen to our clients concerns, understand their goals, and then craft project teams whose collaborative approach can best fulfill their aspirations. We work on projects of multiple scales and types, and from locations all over the world, drawing additional expertise as needed from the wide array of AECOMs specialists who share our common purpose of creating, enhancing and sustaining the worlds built, natural and social environments.

A relevant, dynamic platform

This is how we are building the worlds most dynamic and relevant design platform. For us, architecture is about designing the high-performance buildings of the everyday, which are environmentally responsible architecture that goes beyond strong sustainability guidelines that minimize their footprint on surrounding ecosystems. We design exterior forms and interior spaces, whether they are institutions or destinations, schools, hospitals, courthouses, laboratories, or office buildings. We work in concert with engineering to deliver buildings that are optimized for their purposes, and respectful of their natural and social contexts.

Now
From civic buildings to educational institutions, we address the complex challenges of our world, shaping a more positive future. Along with the most pressing issues of climate change, population growth and pressure on the worlds natural resources, every project presents a range of opportunities.
