2011 Williston Basin Energy Festival Parade Entry Form

Please complete the form below as well as the rules and regulation waiver and return to the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. Forms can either be delivered to the chamber office at 10 Main St., Monday-Friday 8am-5pm or mailed to: Williston Area Chamber of Commerce, ATTN: WBEF Parade Committee, PO Box G Williston, ND 58802. Forms may also be faxed to 701-577-8591. Parade entries must be submitted to the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce by 5pm on Friday, September 9th due to preparation of parade line up. Anyone wishing to enter the parade after this date will be done on an exception only basis and must be approved by the WBEF Parade Committee. 2011 Williston Basin Energy Festival Parade Rules & Regulations Waiver
1. The festival parade committee reserves the right to deny parade participation to any individual or group. No controversial entries are permitted. 2. No items (candy, balloons, brochures, etc.) may be thrown from a vehicle. If you are handing out items, please walk along the curb and hand them to spectators. 3. Animal entries MUST provide clean up or they will be denied participation in the parade. 4. Any individuals who operate a truck, car, tractor, or any other type of vehicle in the parade must possess a valid drivers license. 5. Vehicles participating in the parade must be insured. The Williston Basin Energy Festival Parade Committee and the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce will not be held liable for any accidents, behavior, or problems during the parade. Individual participants will be responsible for any accidents that may occur during or because of the parade. 6. The Williston Basin Energy Festival Parade Committee and the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce do not endorse the views, representations, and behaviors of parade participants. 7. No alcoholic beverages are allowed during the line-up or along the parade route. 8. No group or organization will be allowed to stop along the parade route unless pre-approved by the WBEF Parade Committee. 9. No smoking is allowed on or near parade entries. 10. Trucks, trailers, equipment, etc. entered in the parade must be clean. 11. All vehicles in the parade must have a company logo on them with the exception of vehicles pulling floats. 12. All parade entries must be from the energy industry or decorated with an energy industry theme. 13. All parade entries must be lined up in the staging area by 8:15am. 14. The parade will start promptly at 9:30am. 15. Parade entries must line up and continue through the parade according to the number assigned to them. No parade entrant is allowed to change positions in the line up without approval from the WBEF Parade Committee.
We do not inspect for safety, nor do we warrant conditions of the parade route to be suitable for all types of floats. Failure of any participant to comply with the rules listed above will result in the participant being asked to leave the parade line-up by a parade official. I have received and reviewed a copy of the 2011 Williston Basin Energy Festival Parade Rules & Regulations. I agree to comply with all policies, rules, and regulations outlined above. I further agree my organization/individual(s) shall hold harmless and indemnify the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce and the 2011 Williston Basin Energy Festival Parade Committee and their representatives, successors, agents, and employees from any liabilities, injuries, or damage of any kind including but not limited to attorney fees and other costs of responding to or defending acclaims or litigation which may occur from the organization/individuals participation in the annual parade.

2011 Williston Basin Energy Festival Parade Route


Staging Area: Will begin along Broadway in the area of the City of Williston Public Works Department. The contact person for each entry will be notified by Monday, September 12th of the exact street that their entry will line up on. The line up list will also be published on the WBEF website the week of the parade (www.wbef2011.com). Route: Spectator viewing of the parade route will begin at the corner of Broadway and Main St. The route will continue to 11th St and turn west. At the corner of 11th St and 2nd Ave, the route will turn north. It will continue north on 2nd Ave until it reaches the conclusion of the parade at 26th St.
