modification, cancellation or amendment is in conflict with the provisions of this agreement. In the event of any conflict between the provisions of this agreement and rules, regulations and orders of the Corporation, the provisions of this agreement shall prevail except for any such clause(s) of this agreement which are inferior to the rules of the Corporation, and then the better of the two shall prevail.
1.4 The terms and conditions of this agreement shall apply to all Aircraft Engineers/Engineering Instructors in the employment of the Corporation drawing salaries in Aircraft Engineer's Pay Scale "AEPS" and holding valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License, Aircraft Engineer's Inspection Authorization /Class-l Approvals/Proficiency Certificates equivalent to AME, License/Class-l Approval on type of aircraft/equipment operated, maintained and/or overhauled by the Corporation (hereafter referred as the Members). The structure of Inspection Approval System, Proficiency Certificates and Training in the Engineering Department of the Corporation for the certification of Aircraft, Engines and Equipment thereof shall be revised in accordance with the principles laid down by the regulatory bodies and in consultation with the Society. Subject to the requirements of local laws, maintenance and certification of PIA aircraft, at all foreign stations, should be carried out by PIA Engineers where there are more than 3 transits per week and a joint study carried out by Society and Engineering management justifies such arrangement.

1.7 a)Whenever the members are required to accompany flight for observation or for the purpose of certifying the airworthiness of aircraft/equipment or retrieval of grounded aircraft, they shall be entitled to the same facilities and benefits including the crew cards as admissible to the cockpit crew at that time. However, this arrangement will not be used by the Corporation in a manner which is detrimental to the foreign posting of the members.

b)Members will perform such duties on ground as are assigned by the Corporation from time to time and proceed to any place on Corporation's duty as required by the Corporation as per provision of the agreement.
1.8 The Member who leaves service of the Corporation on account of termination of service/ acceptance of resignation or otherwise shall be treated as fresh entrant on re-employment and shall be placed at the bottom of the applicable seniority list. Members attached or transferred to the other Department due to corporate requirement will continue to be governed by these rules provided that these rules will not be applicable to those who are transferred to other Departments at their own request.

1.11 In case difference or dispute shall arise between the parties herein in respect of these presents or the construction thereof or the rights, duties or obligations of any person (s) hereunder or as to any other matter arising out of or connected with these presents, the same shall be referred to the Arbitration of two Arbitrators, one to be nominated by each party to the reference and in the event of disagreement between such arbitrators to an Umpire to be appointed by them in writing within one month of the latest of their respective appointments and before proceeding with the reference. The decision of the Arbitrators or in the event of their disagreement that of the Umpire decision shall be final and binding on both reference to Arbitration within the meaning of Arbitration Act 1940, or any statutory modifications or reenactment thereof for the time being in force and regulated and conducted accordingly.

The Corporation shall provide necessary facilities, protective measures and conducive working environments in shop/work places as per the recommendations of Manufacturer and regulatory bodies.

1.13

The Members shall perform duties as per standards/recommended procedures laid down by the Corporation, Manufacturer and Regulatory Bodies as well as the standard engineering practices and procedures. While accompanying flights for the purpose of certification en-route or terminating station, duty time means the time commencing from the time a Member reports at the airport from which he will be accompanying a flight or series of flights on any aircraft and will be 60 minutes before scheduled departure for domestic flights and 60 minutes before scheduled departure for international flights and will end at destination airport after 30 minutes for international flights and 15 minutes for domestic flights. Maximum flight duty time shall not exceed 16 Hrs. Members shall not be scheduled to perform flight duties beyond 12 Hrs on regular and planned basis. If the duty time is exceeding 16 Hrs from to Base station the Members shall be provided rest at the terminating station (where flight number is changing) of the flight prior to proceeding for base. After performing 16 Hrs flight duty minimum of 16 Hrs rest shall be provided.

AMENDMENTS: Any clause of this agreement, with the exception of clauses relating to pay and allowances and other financial benefits, may be revised by mutual consent of the parties at the instance of either party upon a mutually agreed time period.

NEGOTIATIONS FOR NEW AGREEMENT: It is agreed that the present format shall continue in future agreements, and that only relevant clauses shall be opened, discussed, and if mutually agreed, same shall be incorporated. The Society shall submit the amendment (s) / proposal (s) for negotiation the new agreement at least three months prior to the date of expiry of this agreement. The Corporation shall evaluate the said amendment (s) / proposal (s) with in one month of its receipt, and thereafter commence negotiations, which will be completed with in two months.

1.17 EQUIVALENCY OF "AEPS" MEMBERS:

For Administration purposes and the determination of status, privileges, facilities and perquisites of various cadres of officers following shall be the equivalent designations: Aircraft Engineers in AEPS A and B = Aircraft Engineers in AEPS C and above = Deputy Chief Engineer (C & above) = Chief Engineer (C & above) = Director Engineering (C & above) = PG- VI and VII, respectively. Parity in salaries of Pilots and Aircraft Engineers / Engineering Instructors will be reviewed before 31 st July of every year.
Distribution of kitty shall be done with mutual consultation of both the parties.

(g)

SAEP members retiring at superannuation before year 2014 shall be compensated for remaining portion of ration gap payment for the calculation of their terminal benefits. SAEP members retiring at superannuation between 1 st August, 2009 to 31 st July, 2011 shall be compensated for remaining portion of ration gap payment for the calculation of their terminal benefits as per following schedule and rates: i) Member retiring between 1 st August, 2009 and 31 st July, 2010, their pension shall be calculated after increasing 26.20% in their pensionable salary components. ii) Member retiring between 1st August, 2010 and 31st July, 2011, their pension shall be calculated after increasing 20.96% in their pensionable salary components. iii) The percentage of the subsequent years shall be decided after the calculation of each year parity gap.

(h)

U)The parity gap for the year 2010 is agreed between PIA Management and SAEP as per schedule mentioned in clause 4 of Memorandum of Understanding and approved by the PIA Management.

2.2

Unless otherwise specifically provided in this Agreement, pay, allowances, reimbursable items and Perquisites of the Members holding valid AME licenses and/or equivalent qualification set forth in this Article shall be effective form 1 st August 2009.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: 2.3 Classification of Groups: a)The nomenclature of the pay scales for members will continue to be called as Aircraft Engineers Pay Scales "A" to "G" (hereinafter referred to as "AEPS"). b)All AEPS except "G" are divided into a span of four years. c)There is no ceiling of members in AEPS "G" and they shall remain entitled to get annual increment(s) during their service. 2.4 Date of Annual Increment: The date of annual Increment shall be determined as per corporate policy. 2.5 Placement in the Next AEPS:

2.5 Placement in the Next AEPS:
An aircraft Engineer shall automatically move over to next AEPS, irrespective of his basic pay after completion of four years service or after earning four annual increments in existing AEPS irrespective of his/her basic pay.

2.6 Pay Scales:

2.8 HOUSE Rent / Rental Ceiling:


2.8.1 House rent to Aircraft Engineers shall be paid @ 45% of current Basic Pay per month. 2.8.2 Deputy Chief Engineers shall be paid House rent @ 45% of current Basic Pay per month. Chief Engineers shall be paid House rent / Rental ceiling as Corporate Policy. Director Engineering shall be paid House rent / Rental ceiling as Corporate Policy.

2.8.3 Advance house rent up to one year or more shall be dealt as per Corporation rules. 2.8.4 At foreign stations, arrangements for accommodation / fixation of rental ceiling shall be dealt in accordance with the prevailing rental rates of that station for aircraft engineers as per corporate policy. Entitlement of aircraft engineers shall be specifically mentioned in relevant circulars.

Note: In case lease amount exceeds the rental ceiling; the difference shall be adjusted from salary. 2.9 Utility Allowance: 2.9.1 Utility Allowance shall be paid @10% of current Basic Pay of respective AEPS per month. 2.9.2 For Dy. Chief Engineers and above, Utility Allowance shall be paid @ 10% of the current Basic Pay per month, or corporate entitlement prescribed from time to time for their equivalent cadres in the Corporation, whichever is higher.

2.10 Car Maintenance / Conveyance Allowance: 2.10.1 Car Maintenance / Conveyance Allowance to Aircraft Engineers/ Deputy Chief Engineers shall be paid @ 10% of current basic pay per month as per rules. 2.10.2 Car Maintenance / Conveyance Allowance shall not be paid to those Aircraft Engineers who are availing home pick-up / drop. 2.11 SPECIAL Allowance: (a) Special Allowance shall be paid to Aircraft Engineers and Deputy Chief Engineers as per the Following rates: AEPS A

2.15.2 Night Allowance:
(a) Aircraft Engineers detailed in night shift duties at any stations will be entitled to night allowance @ Rs. 6001-per night, irrespective of the shift patterns and for the actual night duties that they perform in a month.

(b) Night shift duty shall be defined as duty performed between 2330 hrs and 0630 hrs.

2.16 EXTENDED DUTYI DENIED REST ALLOWANCE:


Aircraft Engineer shall be allowed payment of extended duty I denied rest.

2.16.1 Rate of Payment:


It shall be payable in Pakistan only on hourly rate of 1 % of current basic pay.

2.16.2 Procedure:
Prior approval of concern Chief Engineer shall be required to detail an Aircraft Engineer beyond normal working hours I roaster I rest day(s) I holiday(s) for release of an aircraft I equipment or prescribed operational requirements.

2.16.3 Non Admissibility of day off:


An Aircraft Engineer allowed extended duty I denied rest allowance will not be entitled to a day off in lieu of day for which such payment has been made. Payment of extended duty I denied rest to Aircraft Engineer shall be subject to capping of allocated amount upto 6 million for disbursement over period of 6 months and same will be repeated after each half yearly period till further orders.

2.17 General Declaration Travel Expense:


That if the AEPS Members are required to fly to outstation to service aircraft or flight equipment and they attend to their duties immediately on arrival at the destination station they will deemed to be fly on G.D/OCS.Payment/reimbursement of General Declaration Travel Expense shall be at the following rates: Rates per hour Domestic Stations: Rs. 901-Blocks 'ON' to Blocks 'OFF' for actual slip hours.

US$ 4.00 Blocks 'ON' to Blocks 'OFF' for actual slip hours. Incase if the Airworthiness Certification(s) is carried out, the airworthiness certification allowance will be paid separately in accordance with 2.17.2.

2.17.1 For VVIP Flights, above allowance will be calculated at double rate from Block Off to Block On at base and entire hours will be paid in advance, however, no certification 1 airworthiness allowance etc. shall be paid. 2.17.2 Airworthiness Certification Allowance The rate of Airworthiness Certification Allowance shall be as under;
Domestic Flights International Flights of up to 6 hours International Flight up to 8 hours Rs.1500/per landing Rs.3000/ per landing Rs.4000/ per landing

Note: The above rates shall be paid on per landing basis and determined by Flight Number either domestic or International. On international flights where slip is involved, certification allowance will be paid equivalent for one landing only in addition to slip allowance as per international applicable rate. 2.17.3 In case of diverted Flight without landing at destination due to any reason and cancelled, Member will be compensated by paying Rs.15001-(Equivalent of domestic certification). 2.17.4 In case of delayed departure of flight more than 2 hours where an NE is required to accompany a flight, he shall be entitled to business class lounge wherever available on domestic stations only, provided he has obtained the boarding card for such travel. 2.17.5 AEPS member proceeding on G.D/OCSshall be paid in advance as per corporate policy. 2.17.6 Transportation for pick up and drop and hotel accommodation shall be provided in accordance with the entitlement of the cockpit crew. If any relevant facility of the cockpit crew is enhanced it shall automatically be extended to the Members. 2.17.7 At domestic where First Class Hotel accommodation (at par with Cockpit Crew) is not available, the Member makes his own arrangement to stay. Hel She shall be paid sum of Rs. 5000 for domestic station per night in lieu of such accommodation in addition to normal G.D/OCSallowance. All Hotel bills shall be cleared and settled by the Member, where applicable, before leaving that station. Pick up and drop will be provided by Corporation. 2.17.8 Members performing test flights shall be paid fix allowance ofRs. 30001(a) Tickets shall be issued for test flight. (b) Life insurance coverage shall be paid as per Corporation's rules. 2.17.9 For Members who are on flying duty, meals shall be provided at par with Cockpit Crew and Separately mentioned in Load sheet and served (for ATR flights only).

2.22 Perquisite of Chief Engineer and above

Members when appointed as Chief Engineer and above shall be entitled to all perquisites as approved by the Management from time to time, for equal cadre in other departments in addition to the salary, allowance and reimbursable items admissible under AEPS and this working agreement.

2.23 Duty Time Limitation and Rest: 2.23.1 Ground Duty:


Duty time limitation of Aircraft Engineer is 8 hours but can be extended to 16 hours in emergencies on occasional basis. The extended duty / denied rest shall not be more than 48 hours in a month. However, Aircraft Engineer shall not be scheduled to perform the duty beyond 8 hours on regular and planned basis.
2.23.2 Rest: Between any two successive duties rest period shall be provided, as per corporate rules. 2.24 Split Duty:

Members performing split duty shall be entitled to split duty allowance of Rs 6000/- per month with the approval of Director concerned.
2.24.1 Hardship Allowance

Members performing duties at the station which are defined as hardship stations by the Corporation shall be entitled to hardship allowance ofRs 3000/- per month.

ARTICLE - III MINIMUM QUALIFICATION / REQUIREMENTS / CONDITIONS FOR PLACEMENT IN AEPS
3.0 The minimum qualifications / requirements / conditions for placement in AEPS are defined as under:

General
The qualifications / requirements shall be as specified by the Civil Aviation Authority from time to time and governed by the Civil Aviation Rules, 1994, and the Chicago Convention, 1944, as amended or modified from time to time. The Members should have successfully completed prescribed Technical/Management / Development Courses prior to promotion. The equivalence between various qualifications shall be determined by Director Engineering & Maintenance in consultation with the Society. In case new approvals / qualifications are introduced in the Licensing Approval System by the Civil Aviation Authority, placements in AEPS shall be reviewed accordingly and decision of Director Engineering & Maintenance shall be final. The qualification requirement for the post of Dy. Chief Engineer and above shall not be less than Full Set applicable to the section concerned.

3.1.6 a)The assignment of a member may, at any time during the period of probation or extended period of probation, be reverted to his original post if his work, performance or conduct is found unsatisfactory by the Management. b)An Aircraft Engineer, on promotion, shall be confirmed in his new assignment subject to rendering satisfactory service in probationary period in accordance with the existing rules and regulations of the Corporation 3.1.7 If operational needs of the Corporation so require un-utilized Engineers holding single license on Narrow Body aircraft with a view to converting them to have qualifications on Wide Body aircraft. In such cases they may train on seniority basis on acquisition of the said qualification will be placed in the appropriate AEPS regardless of vacancy.

3.1.8 Members who are Engineering Instructor_will become eligible for all assignments on compliance of conditions specified herein. Proficiency Certificates on the fleet aircraft / equipment issued to them by the Civil Aviation Authority and the Chief Engineer Quality Control of the Corporation will be accepted equivalent to the professional qualifications specified hereinafter.

ARTICLE -IV SENIORITY RULES 4.1 The seniority list shall be prepared and updated every year by the Dy. General Manager H.R.

Engineering & Maintenance Department and Dy. General Manager H.R. PIA Training Center respectively and provided to each section and the Society.
4.2 Trade-wise seniority list shall be maintained separately for Maintenance and Overhaul Sections.

4.3

Seniority of the Aircraft Engineers shall be counted from the date of their initial placement in AEPS, however, separate seniority list shall be maintained for Chief Engineers and Deputy Chief Engineers in order of the date of their appointment or promotion, as the case may be. After initial placement in AEPS, seniority shall not be changed with progressive placement in higher AEPS. The Members employed against permanent positions shall rank senior to those employed in temporary capacity. The date of placement in the AEPS shall be the basis of seniority of Aircraft Engineers/ Engineering Instructors. In case date of such placement is the same for two or more Members, then the session for obtaining License/ AEIA/Equivalent qualification will determine the seniority.

The Members attached with other departments on Corporation requirement, by consent, shall continue to maintain seniority in the Engineering & Maintenance Department except for the purpose of various assignments, posting and training falling during period of attachment.

In case of member takes promotion in other department and he / she wants to join back the engineering department, will join on the same position from where he / she left. In case of demotion/reduction in salary to a lower pay scale, seniority shall be calculated from the date of placement in AEPS.

ARTICLE-V CAREER PLANNING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT 5.1 In order to meet the challenges of highly competitive and expanding Industry of Air Transport and for effective career planning so as to produce adequate number of efficient and better qualified members in a reasonable period of time. The management in consultation with SAEP will determine the necessity of providing training to the members in Maintenance, Overhaul, Development, Quality Assurance and PTe. Subject to the corporate requirements and as far as possible, eligible Members will be provided, in order of seniority, with the requisite courses, training and experience (to ensure eligibility) for future professional development/enhancement of technical qualifications. Training shall be directed towards developing full set qualified members. Training need analysis of each member will be carried out by Chief Engineer HR & Training and Concerned Chief Engineer with the consultation of Society.

Training for acquiring AME License or Approval means training and on-job current practical experience. This is the responsibility of the section to release the Members from their parent duty place as and when possible keeping the section's requirements in view to complete CAA's requirements of experience/work-schedule. A section-wise list of the members eligible for additional qualifications in order of seniority shall be prepared by the section concerned. The existing Members with multiple qualifications shall be so utilized as to provide opportunity to other Members to enhance their qualifications in reasonable time. Additional qualification to senior members holding complete set of qualification of their area of work shall be arranged appropriately in time if absence of same affects their eligibility for foreign posting and selection for senior assignment/promotion.

The Corporation shall endeavor to provide basic (once in 8 years) and type refresher courses to members currently working in their line of work / aircraft / equipment at least once in 2 years or duration defined by regulatory authorities, on relevant type of aircraft/equipment. In the event of introduction of a new equipment, trades wise list of members in seniority order, will be prepared by Engineering & Maintenance Department and prerequisites defined by the regulatory bodies regarding suitability and availability of the individual concerned and a training program will be evolved by the Corporation keeping in view the following:

a)As far as possible, all eligible members of concerned trades shall be considered for foreign training equitably on the basis of seniority and suitability. b) Members trained abroad at the cost of the Corporation shall be required to execute service bond as per the existing rules of the Corporation.

c)Members, as far as possible, shall be located in areas where their qualifications are to be utilized however members working in other sections of Engineering & Maintenance Department on Corporation requirement will not suffer a loss of qualification enhancement and posting when their seniority so demands. d)Members having acquired foreign training minimum of 21 days at a stretch will normally follow their tum for next foreign training after all eligible members have acquired the same. e)While on training, members shall be provided transportation for going and coming back to the place of training if the manufacturer or vendor transport is not provided.
5.9 Consistent with its operational requirements, of which it shall be the sole judge, the Corporation shall Endeavour to provide necessary academic/technical/managerial training to members in recognized institutions to develop competency for senior assignments. However, members who fail to qualify such training/eligibility requirements will forfeit their right for further career advancement or appointment to the Managerial positions till they qualify the same.

5.10

Engineering & Maintenance Department shall Endeavour to maintain a reserve of at least 6 Aerospace and 6 Avionics Engineers on seniority basis with respective qualifications to cater for and to avoid bypassing of seniority to foreign posting.
Members who have not acquired certification qualifications after being provided with course and OJT may be allowed only one further course.

Members shall be provided specified sectional training on sectional requirements in order of sectional seniority. The Corporation shall Endeavour to provide eligible senior Members opportunities for acquiring additional qualification on seniority basis on rotation, in order to meet corporate requirements, except those who are on foreign posting or on deputation. However, in case of supersession, if any, the department shall discuss the matter with Society. Career development of the members who are placed in sections where opportunities of acquiring additional qualification are not available, their career development shall be evaluated on the merit of each case in consultation with SAEP.

ARTICLE-VI VACANCIES, APPOINTMENTS AND TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENTS 6.1 All appointments as Aircraft Engineer(s) and above shall be against approved vacancies and except as provided hereunder no person shall have a vested right to be appointed and promoted as an Aircraft Engineer or above. The Corporation agrees that it will not employ any person(s) from outside the Corporation for any assignment of Aircraft Engineer(s) / Engineering Instructors, which require AME/ AEIA /PC for its incumbents, as per CAA Pakistan requirements. Such positions shall be preferably filled by the members holding required qualifications from within PIA, if required / needed could be appointed with consultation of society. The Corporation shall not employ any personnel from out side PIA for any assignment of Deputy Chief Engineers, Chief Engineers and Director Engineering. All appointments to higher positions shall be made by the management on the basis of seniority, merit, and compliance with the qualification requirements and job specifications of the posts prescribed from time to time. All such appointments shall be processed through the properly constituted boards and all the requirements laid down in the existing rules and regulations of the Corporation shall be complied with. Appointment against the vacancy of DCE and above to be created by a retiring member is to be processed three months before proceeding on L.P.R. Vacancy caused due to demise of a member or due any other reason should be filled as soon as possible. The competent authority may approve officiating arrangement only if the period involved for duration of 3 (three) month or more, as per rules of the Corporation.

a)The member holding appropriate qualification of the concerned section shall normally, and subject to availability, be the most eligible person on seniority cum merit for the officiating assignment.

b)Members selected for officiating assignments shall perform the duties of the higher appointments without chain arrangement made thereto, as per rules of the Corporation.

If a member is called upon by the management to officiate for higher position, he/she will be paid officiating allowance as per existing corporate rules.

ARTICLE-VII TRANSFERJPOSTING/SECONDMENT 7.1 Subject to Corporation's operational requirements and except as otherwise specified hereinafter, domestic and foreign transfer policies of the Corporation shall be applicable to the members including those holding higher assignments, and except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, Seniority cum fitness will govern the Foreign Postings, Secondment and Deputations. For necessary deviation from the laid down policy, if any, the Society will be consulted.

7.2

The concerned Chief Engineer will prepare a transfer program for posting of members on foreign I domestic stations and have it approved by the appropriate competent authority three months in advance so as to ensure that all operational requirements are satisfied and any changes in status or qualifications after finalization of program shall not affect the decisions except in cases where outstation vacancies are not known well in advance or on operation requirements i.e. change in equipment operating at that station. For the purpose of domestic postings, Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad shall be considered as base stations, (members who opt Lahore and Islamabad as base station will also be considered for domestic po stings other than base stations on their tum). All AME(s) shall be given options to give a choice of posting subject to available vacancies on these stations and meet qualifications requirements. The Corporation will ensure that the member posted on above bases will not be deprived of their Trainings, Foreign Po stings and Higher Assignments on their own turns.

GENERAL:

7.3 Domestic Posting: a) Based on the qualification, experience and usefulness of the members, domestic posting schedule will be for duration of one year except in case of volunteer (one year w.e.f. from joining date). Engineering and Maintenance Department shall endeavor to maintain a reserve of Aerospacel Avionics members with required stations qualifications. In case Corporation fails to post the members within 90 days, the member already posted there will be called back on completion of his tenure and his replacement will be sent on T A.

7.4 Members shall be considered suitable for domestic posting as per following order of preference:

a)

Volunteer members having appropriate qualifications.

b) Members having done foreign posting but no domestic posting shall be considered for these stations where their qualifications can be effectively utilized c) Junior most members having Full Set qualification on equipment provided he has been utilized at least one year at base. d) After all the eligible members have done their domestic posting, cycle to be operated as per same order of preference.

Members who have completed 35 years of service or 57 years of age shall not be transferred to domestic outstation unless so volunteered. 7.5 The Corporation policy be reviewed for transportation of household goods through approved Packers / Movers with weight / volume limit.

Foreign Posting/ Secondment / Deputation/ Resident Engineer:


7.6 Members shall be considered for foreign posting who have not been previously posted abroad either on secondment or Corporation duty. They shall be considered again if all the eligible members have completed one term of posting. a)One term of foreign posting shall be of 3 years (36 months) duration which shall normally not be extended / reduced. Term of posting will be considered from the date he joins his station of posting. b)Nomination for posting will be finalized three months prior to proceeding on foreign station posting.

c)Every effort shall be made, to replace a member at foreign station in time. Member completing 3 years posting shall be called back to base and temporary arrangement shall be made if required. d)The nominations will be processed six months prior to due posting and any change in qualification will not affect the nominee. The nominations for posting when finalized will be freeze and cannot be changed even after acquiring suitable qualification/s by other member.

Members shall be considered suitable for international posting as per following order of preference: a) Posting / secondment less than six month shall not be considered as foreign posting.

b) Member in accordance with requirements of station who has done foreign posting / secondment six months or more and falls in "Seniority cum fitness" shall be considered for remaining period. c) Members holding Full Set qualification in accordance with requirements of station and never done foreign posting / secondment shall be considered on "Seniority cum fitness "basis. d) After all the eligible members have done their foreign posting, cycle to be repeated as per same order of preference.

The posting period shall preferably commence w.e.f. 1 st July. Qualified members due for foreign posting shall be posted irrespective of their area of workplace. For the purpose of OJT selectee other than Line Maintenance will be posted to Line Maintenance division for (3) three months before proceeding for posting. Members shall be seconded to any other organization by mutual consent of the Corporation and the member concerned, provided the conditions of secondment offered shall not be inferior and all requirements for such secondment is advertised internally and the selection made from amongst the members who volunteer their services for such secondment, on the basis of seniority and fitness, Members who not done his foreign posting shall be given preference.

During the period of foreign posting, the members will be considered for senior positions by the Corporation, and they shall have the option to avail the opportunity. However, in case of their refusal they shall forfeit their right against the available vacancy. In the event the members are not considered, reasons thereof shall be communicated to the member concerned and SAEP.

7.12 Self sought secondment shall be governed by the Corporation rules. 7.13 Upon induction of new aircraft, members who are Deputy Chief Engineer or above and have not previously done Foreign Posting / Secondment / assignment of Resident Engineer with the Aircraft manufacturing company shall be considered for such assignment on "Seniority cum fitness" basis.

ARTICLE-VIII LEAVE PRIVILEGE LEAVE: 8.1 Members will be entitled for privilege leave with pay and allowances for every completed year of service as per laid down Corporation rules. The management will lay down yearly leave roster for grant of leave for Members in view of operational requirements in consultation with the SAEP. Leave may be refused or deferred provided enough justification exists for such refusal or deferment. Refused / deferred leave may be granted at the request of the member as far as possible. As per Corporation rules leave once deferred beyond a calendar year will not be further deferred. The reason for deferred / refused P/L shall be conveyed to the concerned member and the SAEP in writing, information of such deferred P/L is conveyed with an advance notice of at least 10 days start of such leave. The Privilege Leave will be applied in writing at least 15 days in advance normally, except in emergencies, the confirmation of approval/disapproval will be communicated to concerned member within seven days. The total accumulated Privilege Leave may be availed at a stretch subject to Corporation's operational requirements. Members desiring to extend their leave will apply in writing to the competent authority through proper channel before expiry of the sanctioned leave. In case the request for extension of such leave is on medical grounds, they will also submit a medical certificate issued by Corporation's doctor or from qualified registered medical practitioners if he/she is not on his/her base station, the medical certificate shall be duly endorsed by the Corporation's Doctor at the time of resuming duty.

L.P.R.:
8.12 A member shall be entitled for the encashment of the accumulated privilege leave including all allowances on the following occasions: a)Death of the member b)Early retirement or as per corporate policy.

Leave Roster:
8.13 It is the responsibility of concern Deputy Chief Engineer to prepare privilege leave roster of his section as per Corporation's policy.

Casual Leave:
8.14 Members shall be entitled to avail casual leave as per Corporation's policy.

Sick Leave/Special Sick Leave/Accident & Disability Leave:


8.15 A Member will be eligible for sick leaves as per Corporation's rule, and to be accumulated up to any extent during service. 8.16 Sick Leave for 2 days or more will be supported by a medical certificate from a Medical Officer of the Corporation or from qualified registered medical practitioners if he/she is not on his/her base station, duly endorsed by Corporation's doctor of his base station.

8.17 In any case, if a member sustains injury or disability caused by an accident during the course of employment, he /she will be entitled to Accident Leave with full salary and benefits as per corporate policy.

8.18 Special Sick leaves shall be granted as per Corporation's rule.

Quarantine Leave:
8.19 Quarantine Leave shall be admissible as per Corporation's rules.

Maternity Leave:
8.20 Maternity leave shall be granted to Lady Aircraft Engineers as per Corporation's Rules.

Leave without pay: 8.21 a) b)


Leave without Pay will be admissible as per Corporation's rule. Period exceeding 120 days during leave without pay shall not be counted in the service.

ARTICLE -IX PASSAGE 9.1 Following passage facilities shall be allowed to the members and their families / dependents during service, upon retirement and after death of a member, as prescribed by the management from time to time, regardless of length of service but after completion of minimum one year of corporate service:

9.1.1 1.Passage Entitlement for serving Aircraft Engineers and their families / dependents (For all Aircraft Engineers in AEPS 'A' to 'G'); AND

Two sets on 50% payment of the lowest fare offered to revenue passenger for that sector of that flight, treated as revenue passenger.

One set of 100% rebated on NS-l basis for each entitlement year subject to completion of 10 years corporate service and one set of 100% rebated on SUBLO basis for each entitlement year if total corporate service is less than10 years. Note: i)Confirmation of seats against NS-l booking for leave travel shall be made 36 hours before flight departure time. However member holding NS-l / Sublo tickets shall be allowed to manifest their names without time limitation. ii) Seats for Aircraft Engineers in AEPS 'F' or 'G' with 27 years or more service, when travelling Domestic / International on leave with spouse(s) and children, will be blocked in Economy Class against 100% rebated NS-l. However, they shall be upgraded to the class as per entitlement subject to the availability of seat. Tickets are transferrable to parents on every year basis on domestic and international routes.

Retired employees and widows of deceased / retired employees shall have the option to either avail 100 % rebated Sublo tickets as per their entitlement; OR avail 50% rebated tickets on Confirm basis at par with revenue tickets in lieu of surrendering 100% rebated passage entitlement on domestic and International routes. b) International routes Two tickets of 100% rebated on NS-l basis for each entitlement year. Note: Tickets are transferable to dependent children, as per rules.

ARTICLE-X MEDICAL 10.1 Corporation will arrange full time medical treatment to their members / retired members and their families / family members of deceased member / dependents as per Corporation's rules. At least, One senior medical doctor & lady doctor will be on duty exclusively for Aircraft engineers and their families and will attend others in emergency only. Members shall be provided immediate medical care at airport vicinity in case of emergency, clinics/dispensaries equipped with emergency equipment, doctor, paramedical staff and ambulance with driver shall also be located within the close proximities of engineering facilities preferably inside the apron area on all base stations round the clock. In case of emergency Ambulance will be arranged. Apron permit for Drivers and Ambulance can be arranged for bringing the patient from Engineering in case of emergency. Orthopedic/DentureslHearing aids/artificial limbs/Crutches, Spectacles / Contact Lenses, Collar and other support shall be provided as per corporate policy. Corporation shall provide medical treatment to the members and their families in the hospitals mutually agreed and approved by the management and SAEP and as notified from time to time. After functional hours on presenting PIA ill Card / Family ill Card In case of hospitalization, patient will be sent at his / her own choice but only in the PIA approved hospital as per his / her entitlement at his own responsibility. If the members desires admission in any other hospital/clinic which is not approved by the Corporation, necessary permission may be given by the doctor deployed for engineers OPD. The difference between charges of the two hospitals / treatment as paid by PIA shall be borne by member concerned. Medicine/Surgical material considered necessary by the Corporation's doctor for treatment of disability of self, spouse/dependent shall be provided free of cost. Proper facilities shall be provided for children. It will be considered on case to case basis by the management.

a)All investigations and pathological examinations are carried out at PIA Medical Center at Karachi on priority basis to save the valuable time of the Corporation. The tests will be carried out at respective medical Centers at ISB/LHE. However, on the advice of PIA doctors, cases can be referred to outside approved laboratories. In case of emergency if member desires to consult any other laboratories which are not approved the difference of that tests will be bear by the member. b)All inoculation and vaccination considered necessary for the preservation of general health will be carried out at Corporation's dispensaries / government centers or outside laboratories.

10.10 Diathermy, infrared, ultraviolet exposures, acupunctures and physiotherapy treatment will be provided at Corporation's dispensary / other approved clinic when advised by the Corporation's doctor / specialist.

10.11 Any medicine/treatment advised by specialist shall be provided by the Corporation, Such medicines which have been prescribed by PIA specialist/Corporation's doctor and are not made available against Form 60 from at least two PIA approved chemists duly endorsed "nonavailable" by the chemist, the actual cost of medicine purchased by the concerned member shall be reimbursed subject to production of original bill(s). 10.12 For life saving drugs in cases of multi factor disease the alternate medicines can only be prescribed by the concerned specialist / doctor and can not be changed by PIA Doctor. 10.13 Free dental treatment, excluding gold filling, dentures, crown, orthodontic treatment and bridges will be provided at the medical centers Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore or by approved Dental Surgeons when referred by the Corporation's doctor at other outstations as per corporate policy.

10.14 Dental emergencies will be attended on priority basis and subsequent appointment if required will be provided within 24 hours. 10.15 Only routine nursing facility available in the hospital wherever member is admitted will be provided as per corporate policy. In case of serious illness, additional nursing facilities may be allowed as considered necessary. Prior approval of the CMO will be obtained for engaging a private nurse at the corporation's cost incase of serious illness, if considered necessary. 10.16 Member falling sick while on flight / Corporation duty at an outstation will be entitled to full medical attention. In case PIA medical facilities do not exist, Area/Station Head will arrange such facilities from a private doctorihospital at all cost of Corporation. 10.17 a)During the period of leave in Pakistan irrespective of station, members and their families will remain entitled to all medical treatment facilities to which they are entitled. The facility will be provided on stations where PIA has its own medical arrangement through Corporation's medical centers or approved doctors. b)Corporation will reimburse all expenditures incurred by the member and their families for their treatment only during leave at station in Pakistan where the Corporation doctors are not located such expenditures will be approved by the Chief Medical Officer with in the period of 15 days from submission of claim on PIA approved rates. c)Members on leave outside Pakistan will be entitled to receive medical treatment from any doctors if PIA doctor not available this facility is permissible only for the emergencies. Re-imbursement will be at base as per existing corporate policy. Routine check-up, treatment of chronic ailments as determined by Corporation's doctor and Family treatment are not permissible.

10.18 Family member(s) of PIA employees shall receive medical attention at any of the PIA Medical Centers within Pakistan on production of Family identity Cards. Reimbursement of Maternity Expenses shall be admissible up to two children while in PIA service. Reimbursement shall be authorized by the Medical Division as per the rates approved by Management from time to time. 10.19 Member will be entitled to consultation of the Corporation's doctor / Consultant at the medical Center(s) on priority basis to save the valuable time. If the appointment with PIA specialist can not be obtained with in two days the member shall be referred to the consultant specialist on PIA approved list or can be visited to any other consultant specialist which is not in the approve list of PIA, all expenses incurred shall be reimbursed accordingly as per Corporation policy at approved rates.

10.20 When a member is at outstation on Corporation duty:

a) The Corporation will provide necessary medical facilities to the family in Pakistan. b) In case the patient cannot be moved to hospital que to medical reasons, ambulance will be provided for transportation of the patient. c) In serious cases of sickness in Member's family / dependents, on recommendation of Medical officer, the Member may be informed by the Engineering Department immediately and his / her return to the base will be arranged. d) Members and their families / dependents on their posting abroad shall be entitled to the medical facility in accordance with Corporation rules / applicable social security / national health schemes / health insurance of that country.
10.21 The families of Aircraft Engineers / Engineering Instructor who expire while serving shall be eligible for medical treatment as per Corporate rules, however, family members of Aircraft Engineers / Engineering Instructor who die while on duty, shall be eligible for treatment for life, until becoming due age of remarriage. 10.22 A country wide list of doctors/ specialists / hospitals approved by the Corporation shall be provided to SAEP whenever changed. 10.23 The doctor deployed for Members and their families / dependents shall be fully authorized to approve hospitalization on case to case basis. 10.24 In emergency Members and their families / dependents shall go to any hospital and regularized or reimbursed on actual basis after ascertaining that such treatment was necessarily required for saving life. 10.25 In case ifhospitalization is required, members and their families / dependents shall be entitled for admission in private Air-conditioned room with attached bath facility

Retired Member: 10.26 All medical facilities which a member is entitled during his service shall be provided to the retired members and their spouses, as per Corporation policy. Deceased Members: 10.27 All medical facilities which a member is entitled during his service shall be provided to the widow(s) of deceased member, as per corporate policy.

ARTICLE-XI COMPENSATION FOR DEATH/DISABILITY / INSURANCE Death/Disability

11.1 11.2

In the event of death, Corporation shall pay the compensation to the Member's nominee/legal heirs as per terms of the Group Insurance Policy. In addition, the Corporation shall pay the compensation to the Members for death and total or partial disabilities as a result of accident on duty or off duty of an amount equal to three years salary with full benefits and all claims shall be settled in accordance with the terms and conditions of "Personal Accident Insurance Policy" which shall be taken out and maintained by the Corporation throughout the services of the Members. The compensation mentioned at Para 11.2 above shall not be paid in the event it is proved that the death or disablement has resulted from:
a)Suicide or attempted suicide. b)State of intoxication or insanity under the influence of intoxicating liquor or an y drug (unless prescribed by a Doctor) c)Willful breach of law. d)Riding or driving in any kind of race or record-breaking attempt or competition except in course of duty with the Corporation. e)When dismissed from the Corporation's service for misconduct on disciplinary grounds.

11.3

The Member shall complete nomination forms as prescribed by the management. In case the Members wish to make any change subsequently in respect of nominee(s), such change shall be notified to the Corporation and the fresh forms shall be filled in as per rules of the Corporation.

11.5

The compensation for permanent/partial disablement has been specified in appendix 'B' to this Agreement.

Explanation

11.6

Disability shall mean any physical condition due to accident which may render the Member unfit to perform air worthiness certification or any other type of duty which were assigned to him by the Corporation.

11. 7 Whenever the Members are required by the Corporation to fly on flight duties or Corporation duties, Corporation shall at its own expense insure such Members against damage sustained by reason of death or bodily injuries resulting from aircraft accident in accordance with the rates specified at Para 11.1 of this Article, provided that such rates shall be doubled in the event of the Members being required to fly on test flights, ferry flights and flights carrying explosives or flights over territories involved in war and/or open to enemy action.

11.8 Whenever the Members are required by the Corporation to fly and their personal insurance policies are rendered invalid by such flight, compensation equal to the amounts that would have become payable under such flight, compensation equal to the amounts that would have become payable under such personal life insurance policies shall be paid by the Corporation to the Members, in addition to the amounts payable under para11.1 & 11.2 above of this article.

11.9 Coverage for Internment


a)The Aircraft Engineer who accompanies a flight for the purpose of certifications / observation/test flight / TA will be treated at par with Cockpit Crew and the Corporation shall pay to Aircraft Engineer's nominee(s) the following sum if he/she is posted missing or interned or whilst on Corporation service or as a result of hostile action.

i)If interned, hislher normal salary, plus all admissible allowances, during the period of interment. ii) If posted missing, till such time as hislher whereabouts are established, normal salary plus all admissible allowances shall be paid from the time he is posted missing. If he/she is subsequently declared interned his/her normal salary plus all admissible allowances for the entire period of interment shall be paid till the decision from court of law. If subsequently his death is established, benefits of personal accidents and Group Insurance Policies will be paid along with all admissible emoluments of decease employee.

b)If an Aircraft Engineer is interned while on Corporation Duty, on any alleged charge, what so ever, and if at a later date, it is proven in a court of law, that such interment was mala-fide/unjust, and the innocence of the AlC Engineer is proven, the Corporation shall pay hislher salary (Excluding Flying Allowance and General Duty Declaration), for the full interned period.

War, Riots and Subversion risk Coverage: 11.10 The Corporation shall pay to the Member's heirs/nominee and amount double the sum of compensation, Group Insurance Policies, should death or disability occur while on duty as a result of:
a)Accompanying a flight over/to area where special danger exists from conduct of declared or undeclared war or warlike act or operational exercises in that area. b)Deliberate attack on aircraft, acts of sabotage or hij acking. c)Civil war, insurrection, rebellion and political disturbances where based, traveling or on Corporation duty. d)Explosive goods being carried on board an aircraft accompanied by the Member or working on the aircraft.

11.11 Group Insurance Group Insurance shall be payable as per Corporate Policy.

ARTICLE-XlI GRJEV ANCES, DISCIPLINE AND INVESTIGATION Grievances:
12.1 The grievances of the Members arising due to violation of rules or terms and conditions of their service shall be considered as per following procedures:

a)The grievances shall be submitted, in writing, by the Members to Director Engineering & Maintenance through the Sectional Head concerned giving the cause thereof. The Sectional head shall forward the application of grievance with his remarks within two working days to Director Engineering & Maintenance. In case he fails to do so, the member will allowed readdressing his / her grievance directly to Director Engineering & Maintenance along with his submitted copy of grievance. b)Director Engineering & Maintenance after' discussion the grievance with the Member concerned will inform him within seven days, in writing, with the decision thereof. In case the decision is not acceptable to the member, same may be appealed against in writing before the Managing Director with a request for interview to discuss the subject grievance. c)Managing Director on receiving the appeal shall notify the Member of the date for interview, which will be held at his earliest convenience and the decision thereof shall be announced in consultation with SAEP. If the interview is not requested then the decision shall be announced on receipt of the appeal in consultation with SAEP. d)In case the appeal is turned down by the Managing Director, the reasons for such rejection shall be communicated to the Member concerned and a copy of decision to SAEP within reasonable time.
Disciplinary Proceedings and Investigation
12.2 The disciplinary proceedings against the Member for alleged misconduct will be carried out in accordance with the Corporation's rules and terms of reference proceeding for such inquiries will be carried out in consultation with the SAEP.

12.3

The representative of the SAEP shall be included as observer, if desired by the SAEP, in all formal inquiries and cases of incidents/accidents of aircraft carried out by the Corporation in respect of the Member, and in the capacity of observer, the SAEP shall have the right to submit their observations to the Corporation, provided such participation does not conflict with Pakistan Civil Aviation Rules. .

12.4 During investigation of cases pertaining to personal/technical discrepancies following procedure will be observed:

a)The Member suspected to have committed a technical discrepancy will be issued an explanation letter to be replied within 72 hours after receipt of the letter. b)In case where written explanations are not considered satisfactory, Member shall be heard in person by the Investigation Officer nominated by concerned Director. c) Personal Discrepancy classified as Serious shall be discussed with SAEP.

d)In cases where the Investigation Officer is satisfied after the personal hearing that the member concerned is responsible for the discrepancy, same will be notified to him in writing giving reasons of the decision and a copy thereof will be marked to the office of concerned Director, Chief Engineer Quality Assurance and SAEP. e)The Chief Engineer Quality Assurance will establish after receiving the investigation report as para. 4 (d) that either as normal technical discrepancy or a serious technical discrepancy.

f)The issuance of letter against Para 4( e) above will not be considered a punishment but as a record of performance on the debit side of member in case of normal technical Discrepancies. Copy of letter should be forwarded to SAEP. g)Only serious technical discrepancies will be treated as punishment, where negligence of the Member is established as a result of investigation as per Para 12.4 (e) and (d). Copy of letter should be forwarded to SAEP. h) The nature of punishment will be decided by concerned Director.

i)Commensurate with the seriousness of a technical discrepancy and subject to requirements of regulatory body through Chief Engineering Quality Assurance / Engineering Management. If the alleged Member is suspended, he cannot perform the airworthiness certification till the finalization of investigation, suspension can be revoked by concerned Director. The period of suspension as above i.e. removal from air worthiness certification, he shall be treated as though on duty for attendance purposes. j)Competent Authority shall consider previous record of the Member concerned before deciding the level/nature of punishment. k)Irrespective of the fact whether a disciplinary proceeding under above Para of this Article is held or not, the Member may demand departmental inquiry to establish true facts, in cases where professional/technical discrepancy is alleged against a Member. In such an inquiry a representative of SAEP shall also participate as an observer.

1)The cases in which letters of punishment are not served and actions thereon are closed, withdrawn or absolved will also be sent to HR Engineering for record with copy to concern member.

m)A technical file of each member shall be maintained by TSE (concerned) for technical discrepancies records. n)Letter bearing adverse remarks/comments against the Member shall be placed on his personal file after a copy thereof is endorsed to him and confirmation to this effect is available on record.

0)If the discrepancy of the member is not established then all letters / documents related to the investigations shall only be placed in technical file. p)Record of such personal discrepancies will be reviewed at the end of the year and the personnel annual appraisal reports shall be graded accordingly; however, details of only those technical discrepancies will be recorded in the personnel annual appraisal reports where specific punishment has been awarded.

ARTICLE-XIII TERl\lINAL BENEFITS: 13.1 The Members shall be retired from the service of Corporation on attaining the age of superannuation that is, 60 Years. All due entitlements shall be given to the member on retirement on planned basis that department shall submit case file of audit/finance section for clearance one year before retirement. Finance section shall inform the member of any outstanding due on settlement of accounts. The final accounts however shall be settled within 30 days from retirement, subject to clearance of his file.

13.2

13.3 Members may be allowed to retire as per corporate rules. Gratuity: 13.4 The Members having completed less than 10 years service shall be paid gratuity as per Corporation's rules for each completed year of service preceding the date of their ceasing to be in service or death, as per corporate policy.

13.5 For commutation of gratuity, Corporation rules will be followed.


13.6

Pension: a)Pension @ 32% of Basic Pay, House rent, Utility Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, Special Pay, Special Allowance, Executive Allowance shall be paid to Aircraft Engineers in AEPS 'A' to 'D' while 45% of the same allowances shall be paid to Aircraft Engineers in AEPS 'D' to 'G'.

b)Approval/endorsement allowance of the Members should be included in the Terminal Benefits as per Admin Order# 25/1992, Admin order no 08/2004 dated 3rd March, 2004 should be amended, accordingly or previous Admin Order shall be revived. Maximum approval/endorsement allowance acquired during the service shall be considered for the calculation of Terminal Benefits subject to approval of Board of Directors. 13.7 The members who are allowed to voluntarily retire from the service on completion of 20 years service in the Corporation shall be allowed to draw pension on the basis of following heads; a)Basis Pay b)House Rent c)Special Pay d)Special Allowance e) Executive Allowance

13.8 In case the Corporation decided to retire a Member on medical ground, the member shall be entitled to the facilities / benefits in accordance with the Corporation rules. The retired members shall be entitled to travel facility every entitlement year as per Corporation's rules issued from time to time. Retired Members shall also be entitled to provision of interline as per specified agreements with other airlines and in accordance with the approved policy of the corporation.

13.9

Medical facility shall be extended to the retired members and their spouse in accordance with the Corporation's policy on the subject.
13.10 On an accidental death, retirement benefits shall be applicable as per Corporation's rules.

ARTICLE-XIV MISCELLANEOUS 14.1 The Corporation shall provide the Society 1000 copies of this Agreement in convenient booklet from with loose leaf binding within 30 days of the signing of this Agreement.

14.2 The Corporation shall provide the amendment(s) to SAEP for copying/distribution. 14.3 The Corporation recognizes the Society's affiliation and membership with the AIRCRAFT ENGINEERS INTERNATIONAL (AEI), INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORT WORKERS FEDERATION (ITF) AND INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF AIR WORTHINESS (lFA). The Corporation shall provide four (4) tickets to representatives of the Society for AEI, ITF and IF A meetings twice a year including any interline travel. Two office bearers of the Society shall be allowed NS-1 travel facility on domestic routes for attending a maximum of three scheduled meetings. in a year at each base. 14.4 The member shall not suffer loss of emoluments for the following reasons: a)Change in Approval/licensing system b)Appointments c)Addition of qualification d)Salary fixation other than disciplinary action e)Endorsement / Approval allowance due to change of equipment shall not be discontinued until the member is given training on existing equipment and he/she acquires qualification on that equipment with-in a time period of two years subject to holding of examination by CAA

14.5 The Corporation will provide separate pick-up and drop to the Members a)Between their residence and the place of work at the stations of permanent posting if they are not provided Corporation's car or paid Conveyance / Car Allowance. b)Between residence and airport when scheduled on flight duties as per Cockpit crew entitlement.

c) At the station of temporary posting when needed for certification of AlC. 14.6 The Members shall be reimbursed Airport Tax/Toll Tax/Car Parking fee/Taxi or Rent a car fair (if transportation is not provided by the Corporation) and/or other dues while on domestic / foreign stations on Corporation duty, in the currency the payment was made or in equivalent Pak Rupee upon return to base in Pakistan.

Uniform: 14.7 The Members shall be provided summer and winter uniforms as describe in Para 14.11

14.8 The standard of the fabric shall be at par with Cockpit Crew. 14.9 Members will be provided overall or dust coasts whichever is applicable and protective clothing with provision of Epaulettes and wings.

14.12 All Members shall wear golden metallic wing with insignia "E" in the middle and golden Epaulettes with four stripes of one centimeter width. Loss of Baggage or Other items on Flight Duties: 14.13 The Members traveling for the purpose of providing flight coverage shall be entitled to the same rules of compensation as applicable to Cockpit Crew. Dining/Refreshment Facilities: 14.14 Dining/refreslunent facilities with suitable hygiene arrangements shall be made by the Corporation, where ever possible. Personal Protective Equipment: 14.15 Members shall be provided all types of PPEs for example goggles, helmets, safety harness, masks and ear plugs etc by the Corporation as per their working environment requirements.

Payment of Benefits on Death: 14.16 In the event of death of a Member, all benefits accruing to him shall be paid to his heirs/successors or next of kin as assigned or nominated by him as per Corporation's rules. Travel Documents: 14.17 The Corporation shall at its own cost procure and renew appropriate passports, visas, exchange clearance, medical certificates and all other travel documents of a Member required from time to time for the purpose of effectively carrying out his duties, but it will be responsibility of the member concerned to inform the Corporation at least two weeks prior to the expiry date of all his travel documents and to take his prophylactic inoculations and vaccinations as required in time so as not to invalidate his medical certificates. Realization of Membership FEE: 14.18 SAEP will provide list of the member ship dully signed by President and Treasurer of SAEP to the accounts, who will ensure deduction of monthly subscription per member at source (through their salaries) or any other amount as advised by the SAEP and transfer the amount to the Bank Account of the SAEP and provide a list each month including the amount transacted.

Retiring Rooms: 14.19 The Corporation shall provide suitably equipped/furnished air-conditioned retmng rooms within the duty premises for the members working in various areas/sections/stations and shall be well maintained with provision of attendants during duty hours. Office Facilities: 14.20 All the offices of maintenance managers, DCEs and above shall be air-conditioned, and equipped with corporate furniture as per corporate entitlement.
