On: I identified the clove first, and then the patchouli made a good try to attack me. Why does patchouli love my skin so when I despise it? I can catch a sweetness I think is the myrrh from a distance, fortunately it seems to waft out further than that hideous patchouli smell. At a distance, this is interesting, myrrh-sweet and clove-spicy, with an acrid note that might be the ylang ylang. Up close, it makes me choke. Thats the patchouli, all right. 2/3/07: 75% Marquis de Merteuil: Bottle: minty? Something sweet, like bubble gum One: Florals, something deep and woody the amber? Vetiver, maybe. Something slightly spicy. Gets herby-spicy. Then peach comes out. Keeper 12/8/06: just below label Megaera On: All fruit, all the time. 3/9/08: lab imp Miskatonic U. On: starts out very heavy, sweet coffee. After an hour or two, turns into a true smell of dusty, old books with coffee in the background. Mellows out into a nutty vanilla. 2/14/08: full Muse Bottle: Citrus and a bit of floral On: Floral, floral floral. Yuck. 12/14/06: full Nanshe On: Starts out strong and herbal with a disturbing fecal note in the background. Moves into a pure verbena-lemongrass scent. 3/10/08: testable sniffy Nephilim: Bottle: sandalwood and herbs On: sandalwood, amber, herbs. Keeper. 12/9/06: jbl Queen Mab Bottle: Rich, very perfumey. I liked it, but couldnt identify any specific notes. On: rich florals backed by the sweetness of musk, with a scratchy hint in the background that might be the sandalwood trying to come through. Its a bit too sweet, too floral for me, unfortunately; the musk-and-sandalwood stays back and eventually fades, leaving the entire blend almost honey-and-flowers. Its not bad, just not me. Maybe as a lotion or in a locket?
