Memory Verse Fun!

Psalm 150:1
Memory Verse: Psalm 150: 1 Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Psalm 150: 1 __________________________________________________________ Question: Say, "If you were asked to pay tribute to someone who would it be? It would have to be someone who was very special and who you thought a whole lot about. Who would that person be?" Ask two people to share who they would pay tribute to. Then say, God wants us to praise Him to. That is how to pay tribute to Him. Show a Bible. Say, This is Gods Word. We are going to read our memory verse from Gods Word. Read to the children from the bible the verse for today. Show them the verse written on the dry erase board in large font. Turn it around so that they cannot see it in advance before you show it. Point out the reference (Psalm 150:1) and tell them that Psalm is in the middle of the Bible. Then say 150 is the chapter or Psalm and 1 is the verse. Have them read the verse together with you one time. Say Look at the word praise. This means to clap or put your hand in the air for Jesus to show Him you appreciate Him and love Him. It means to sing to Him and worship Him. The word firmament means the sky. We praise God who lives in the sky or heaven. If you do not know Jesus who lives in heaven you can know Him today. If you do know Jesus you can praise Him as we sing our songs this morning. Have the kids say the verse (6) six times. Each time erase some words from the dry erase board until they are all gone. Then say the verse with the board wiped clean. Sing the Doxology one time. Kidzministry.net Rev. Jeanne McIntosh 2007. All rights reserved.
