 Ha’Misparim La’Debarim
The Numbers of the Words
by Craig Wm. Peters
 A White Stone
He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the assemblies: To him that overcomes,  I will give to him of the hidden manna,
1
and I will give to him a white stone, and upon the stone, a new name written, which no one knows, except he that receives it.
Revelation 2:17

The writer was recently led on a trek which resulted in a what is at least a tentative understanding of our opening Scripture. What is this white stone? And how might it be related to a “Name that no one knows except he that receives it?” This is the direction of the present meditation. While not being dogmatic, we believe the Word of
hwhy
in the Hebrew language provides us with a key that opens a better understanding of the white stone spoken of by
eSwhy
 the Messiah.
Ha’Shem and the Name of Mosheh
The
misparim
2
of the Hebrew word “ha’shem” (which means “the name”) is 345. This number is obtained as follows:

345
= (40)
M
 + (300)
S
 + (5)
h
 =
MSh
= ha’shem = the Name
When one speaks the word “Ha’Shem,” it is most often a reference to the Blessed Name of
hwhy
. Although “ha’shem” need not be a reference to the Name of
hwhy
, the majority of the time, one who speaks this word is referring to the Most High and His Qadosh

Name. Amazingly, when the Hebrew word “HaShem” is reversed, we obtain the Hebrew name for the prophet Mosheh (Moses):

hSm
 <<<
MSh

Mosheh reversed ha’shem

Having the same three letters, the
misparim
for “Mosheh” is, of course, equivalent to the
misparim
of the Hebrew word ha’Shem:

345 =
 (5) h
+
 (300) S
+
 (40) m
 =
hSm
 = Mosheh = Moses
This, in itself, is a miraculous revelation which, apart from unfathomable Providence and Inspiration, absolutely defies explanation! We say this because Mosheh was named by a

It is so amazing that reversing Mosheh’s name would describe his life’s great mission. Mosheh was called to more fully reveal and magnify
the Name
(ha’Shem) of the Most High. The ministry of the prophet Mosheh ultimately served to proclaim Name of
hwhy

and to make His ways known

The Misparim for Onyx
The writer was recently
8
studying the Hebrew text of the early chapters of Bereshit (Genesis) when he was led to take a closer notice of the word for the onyx stone:

MhS
= sh
ō
-hâm = onyx
Of course, sho-ham (
M-h-S
) = 345 since it has the same three letters as Mosheh (
h-S-m
) and HaShem (
M-S-h
). When first realizing this some few weeks back,
9
it left me rather  puzzled, and I wondered: “Since these are the same Hebrew letters in both words,
10
how can a black onyx stone relate to the Name of
hwhy
?” But this question would only remain in my mind for around one week! The prophetess
11
was scanning channels one evening and she was inclined to stop on a PBS show. I sat resting between work sessions and do not even remember the subject matter of the telecast. Not long into our listening, the narrator referred to something which had been made from the white onyx stone! I was stunned. Before this time, I had never realized that onyx stone could be white. The overriding and incorrect assumption was that onyx stone only came in the color black. But as clear as day, the narrator spoke of something which had been made of white onyx.
A New Name Written on a White Stone
Readers have likely seen the correlation and have immediately realized the significance of these things. In Hebrew, Ha’Shem (the Name) and shoham (onyx) both have the same three letters:

MSh
= ha’shem = the Name

MhS
= sh
ō
-hâm = onyx

 Exodus 2:10

 Exodus 3:14-15, Deuteronomy 32:1-3

 Psalm 103:7

Through Mosheh, judgments came on Pharaoh which made the Name of
hwhy
known in all the earth. Exodus 9:16 Further,
hwhy
began through Mosheh, and continues through the Messiah, to make known the splendor of His Name (via His Torah), in all the earth. 2Corinthians 3:12-18, 4:6 The New Covenant would result in the Torah being written on the hearts of the people in the Spirit—on tablets of human flesh (Jeremiah 31:31-34, 2Corinthians 3:2-3, Hebrew 8:8-12)—so that the very Law which Yisrael of old failed to uphold would be upheld/kept in the lives of those who, like Abraham (Genesis 26:4-5), walked by faith in the Messiah. Romans 2:13, 3:31, 1John 2:4-6, 5:2-5

The Hebrew word for “onyx first appears in Genesis 2:12.

At the time of this original writing, “a few weeks back” would have been some time in late July 2011.

We believe this shows that onyx relates to the promise of
eSwhy
to give to those who overcome a
white stone
.
12
On this stone will be a Name written which no one knows except the recipient. Without being dogmatic, this writer believes the Name spoken of by the Messiah will be a compound of the Name of
hwhy
 with another word.
13
This compound Name will reveal some magnificent aspect of the character of
hwhy
that He especially revealed in and through the life of the overcoming believer. And we are given the following promise through Sha’ul about the work which the Spirit of
hwhy
 does within each believer:
Having confidence of this very thing, that He who has begun in you a good work will complete it unto the day of
eSwhy
 the Messiah.
Philippians 1:6 The Name written on a white stone will exalt the Name above all names;
14
it will magnify the Name of
hwhy
and will exalt the work which His Spirit has accomplished in the lives of every one who prevails to overcome in this present life. So this special Name will have a very special meaning—a meaning which has personal sentiments that can only be understood by the individual who receives it. From the prophetic Hebrew language, all indications are that this special stone will be composed of white onyx. While being dogmatic over the matter is not wise, all the keys fit.
… To him that overcomes, I will give to him of the hidden manna, and I will give to him a white stone, and upon the stone, a new Name written, which no one knows, except he that receives it.
