Hoping to make resiclents flee, he sends in what he considers to be a disruptive element: a sheriff. The difference here is that the sheriff is black. Brooks takes what is essentially a rather nasty scenario and turns it into infectious, riotous, anarchic comcdy. In 1983, Pcter Jackson began shooting his first fihn, BAD TASTE. What was originally intended to be a fifteen minute short, progressed into a ninety ts'o minute, full blown feature {ilm. For more than four years, the crew (made up of Jackson's friends) worked over weekends and holidays to get it completed. BAD TASTE set the stage for Peter Jackson's vivid, imaginative and disgusting body of work. As master Jackson is putting the finishing touches on his most ambitious n'ork to date, a liVe-action LOITD OF THE RINCS, u'e felt it rvas time to check out thc roots of that insarre talent.
