KySat Website Team Organization Document

Project Team
The KySat Website team will consist of 4 members: Joey Bratton, Chris Gleim, Todd Grooms, and Andrew Hamilton.

Team Member Strengths

1. Joey Bratton: Joey has experience using PHP from his co-op employment as well as experience using content management software, which will be needed for handling student and educator accounts on the website. 2. Chris Gleim: Chris is an official member of the KySat project and has experience creating and working with the ground software that will communicate with the satellite. 3. Todd Grooms: Todd has experience in web development especially creating professional and appealing web sites with CSS and HTML. 4. Andrew Hamilton: Andrew has experience creating custom overlays for Google Maps and embedding maps in websites.

Team Member Responsibilities

1. Joey will be responsible for creating PHP source code that will be used to control the background operations for the website. 2. Joey will be responsible for integrating a content management system into the website to control user accounts. 3. Chris will be responsible for providing functional communication between the website and the ground software to allow commands to be sent to the satellite. 4. Todd will be responsible for creating the layout of the website as well as organize all the websites images and information in an appealing manner.

5. Andrew will be responsible for creating the functions that will determine the position of the satellite and generate a Google Maps overlay of its position. 6. All members will be responsible for maintaining project documentation as needed.

Project Contingencies
Risk One or more members leave the group. Probability Low Strategy Redefine team member responsibilities to cover missing members tasks. Catastrophic. Project will have to scrapped for something different. Contact Prof. Ragade to attempt to get web space from U of L. Meet with KySat team to determine other avenues for sending commands to satellite. Test website functionality with test data

KySat program is cancelled. KySat server is not available to host the website. Ground Software does not provide for outside communication. No working satellite is in orbit to work with website.
