3.4 Brass: A device which make electric spark on the ignition alcohol in the cup. 3.5 Pipette: A pipette with calibration down to 0.1mL. 3.6 Metal ruler: A ruler which can measure the diameter of the burnt portion of the test piece down to 0.1cm. 3.7 Temperature controlled dryer 4. Procedure: 4.1 The test piece will be put in the dryer before the experiment. It should be left for four hours at 60~62.8 C. When the test piece would be taken out of the dryer, the experiment should be done immediately. 4.2 The experiment will be done in a hood or in a sealed place, where there is no draft. The test piece will be tightly placed in the frame. 0.3mL of alcohol will be poured in the cup and the cup will be placed nearby so that it can be ignited quickly. The test piece should be in the sealed place until it would be completely burnt out. When the afterglow of the test piece would stop, the burnt hole will be measured. 4.3 Remove the carbonated part of the test piece using wooden pencil or other similar device. The largest diameter will be measured accurately down to mm. 4.4 If the measurement would be repeated, the air in the hood or sealed container will be ventilated and the cup would be cooled down to room temperature, before the next measurement would begin.

5. Result 5.1 Unless defined otherwise, the experiments will be done five times each.
5.2 The flame-resistance of test cloth will be the average value of five experiment results indicated down to mm.
