CITY EDGES
type: Concept urban development location: Bratislava - unovo, Slovakia

e term city edge is current in relation to present urban planning approach where the debate on public-private model design for urban centers aects only the tip of the iceberg, and often neglected more and more important processes shaping the wider urban region and periphery. In my work I try by selected approaches to dene the term city edge and by using kind of mosaic of reections and suggestions to characterize this notion. Purpose of my work is not only to explain the idea of urban edge, but also establish the problem, its further review and in the architectural concept of the practical part of this thesis created subjective point of view on this subject.

ANTI -ICON NET

location: Soho Area, Beijing AA Visiting School Workshop Beijing, team lead by Bittor Sanches, Diego Perez Espitia Team Counter Strike: Shuai, Liang, Xinying, Tomas

Main topic of this project is connection. Our proposal is trying to solve the problem of connection of the oce and apartment complex SOHO. We are cutting ussual program distrubution and applying other public function in the vertical scheme of high-rise buildings. By setting the parameters like volume and speed of particular connection between one of various function types, we design net of connections changing itself in the time. By searching what is happening in particular sections and parts, we are setting up three main standards of behaviour - style of connections. e rising types can create a platform for another functional public usage - system of distribution.

Urban Hybrid
location: Bratislava, Slovakia type: Mix-used
Although for people living in the housing estate is a biggest wish to have a park, more than 60 % area of Bratislava Ruinov is constantly grassing with embed trees. Problem is right in high number and especially that this areas are constatly scattered. It means, that hole space is invaluable, becomes to stereotype, and the quality of urban space is decreasing. Another problem is urban space itself. ere is only one type of public space. e men is ceasing to sense the enviroment, is ceasing to awaiting, to be surprised. e oposite of current situation can solve this problem. Only the space of various scales, density, function is leading the human to increasing the activity and to develop our own public enviroment.

VANDAL CIRCLE PAVILION

location: Bratislava, Slovakia

e pavilion mass is based on the morphology of the original proposal of park created by signicant slovak architect - Ferdinand Milucky. e essential mark is circle, circle as a symbol, which is the horizontal way transformed into many dierent spatial games. I`m trying to modify a circle from 2D to 3D space. ree basic layers - cafe, stairs, water fountain, as a circle surfaces with the same center, are transformed from horizontal position into space inside a spherical surface. With fullled condition of xed center is created system of innite modication of circle surfaces bordering on spherical surface.
