Install version 1.1.7 or higher of the EZ Web Con software 2. Click the Lantronixs button and select Assign IP address to server from the menu. Then the Assign IP Address to Server dialog box appears. 3. In the first field enter the ethernet address (MAC address). Should be located on the LAN card itself. 4. In the second field enter a free IP address that you can use from the network 5. Uncheck the none box and enter the correct subnet address for the network your connecting to 6. Enter any other items necessary for the network the card is being connected to 7. Click OK the software will proceed to assign the LAN card the information just entered. 8. Click the Micro-Serial Servers Button 9. Enter the IP address just assigned to the Lan card or click browse and let the software automatically find it Click ok. You may have to exit the EZ Web Con software, restart it, and re-click the Micro Servial Servers button in order for the software to automatically find the IP address previously assigned in steps 2-7. 10. Should bring you to a screen with various options to choose from (Interviewing Wizard, Maintenance, Statistics/Monitoring, Extract configuration from server, Download configuration to server, Download new firmware to server, and Reboot server) 11. Click the Interview Wizard(s) button 12. Click the Initial Setup 13. Click the Next button 14. Enter the IP address that was previously assigned to the card from step 4. 15. Enter the subnetwork mask that was previously assigned to the card from step 5. 16. Enter any other items that pertain from the previous setup from step 6. 17. Click next 18. Change the port speed from 9600 to 38400 19. Change the Access from Dynamic to Remote (Very important, otherwise software will not function) 20. Verify the Character Size is set to 8 21. Change the flow control to "CTS/RTS" 22. Verify the Parity is set to None 23. Verify the Stop bits are set to 1 24. Click the next button 25. Click the download configuration to the IP address assigned button A send configuration dialog box will appear letting you know the status of the send. 26. Once finished a Reboot dialog box will appear. Click yes to reboot. This may take several minutes to finish. When finished the rebooting dialog box will appear stating Server (IP address of the card) is back up. Click the OK button 27. Click back to the send configuration dialog box and click ok. 28. Click the Finish button 29. Click the Menu button 30. Click the Close button 31. Click the Close button again to exit the EZWeb Con software ---------------------------------------ATTACHMENTS-----------------------------------------------PW5000 family The max packet size coming from the IC will never exceed 350 bytes\w overhead included ( this could have mutiple transactions packetized into this). A card trasaction takes up roughly 20 bytes with overhead include would be 32 bytes. Bandwidth taken up on the network with one IC will equal 350bytes.
