AN Ulster family have hit the jackpot after winning more than 1 million in the National Lottery. Marie McKibben from Kilkeel,

who is married with children, bought the winning lotto ticket at a local petrol station. Her lucky numbers came up in the draw on Saturday night. According to the National Lottery there were four jackpot winners, each winning 1,134,307.

The new millionaire, whose son John McKibben is a wellknown face in the Co Down town as the owner of Leestone Caravan Site, said last night that she did not wish to comment on the windfall. However, she and other family

members will celebrate the win at Kilmorey Arms in Kilkeel this morning, where crowds are expected to gather to offer their congratulations. Mrs McKibben is the latest in a string of Northern Irish lottery winners.

PETER Robinson and Martin McGuinness are hoping to bring Irelands second largest festival north of the border. The ministers have urged Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann organisers to award it to Londonderry in 2013 its year as UK city of culture. See page 12
