The author, Venerable Shravasti Dhammika, is a distinguished lecturer and Buddhist monk from Australia. The translator, Venerable Sayadej Vongsopha, was born in Wat Nakhone village, Champasak district and province, ordained as a novice on 27 June 1994, and took higher ordination as a bhikkhu on 14 May 1998, under the preceptor of the Late Most Venerable Phrakru Bhavanabhilom Somsi Keokhiew( the Late Ecclesiastical Governor of Champasak Province) under whom he was the last disciple.
