Ireed from the burden of plausibility by the story's fantastic premise, Murnau summoned iorth a tempest of chematic brimstone so that every scene ripples with reckless ingenuity, Utilizing the full resources of the UIA Studios (including elaborate miniature models and experimental special effects), Iaasl captures the intensity of a medieval universe steeped in religious fanaticism and pagan alchemy. Biack-hooded pallbearers lead a torchlit procession through a plague-stricken village liierallv cloaked by the wings of Satan. The Spaghetti Westem Spaghetti Feast: Enjoy heaping all-you -can-eat spaghetti with a classic spaghetti western like Tfte Good, The Bad anrl the IJgIy or A Fistful of Dollars. (The spaghetti theme also

The Godfatherl

Mr. Sinus Theater 3000: Based on the popular tv show Mystery Science Theater, our version combines live comedy with skits and musical interludes. The Mr. Sinus comedians take some of the world's worst movies and turn them into a rollicking good time by adding comedic dlalog and commentary. This is one of the Alamo's most popular special events, drawing sold-out
crowds almost every time. Food themed movies: Many popular movies revolve around food. For the Alamo's two -year anniversary, we created a fivecourse meal that followed the progression of dishes served in the romantic epicurean masterpiece like Water For Chocolate. The possibilities are endless, and or kitchen staff is ready to prepare a menu specific to your event.

Alamo on the Road: Last summer marked the first Alamo off-site event ever! The outing was based on the movie Deliaerance tn which four city dwellers plan a canoe trip on the last wild river in the Souttr, soon doomed to extinction by the construction of a darn. They face the dangers of the river and the elements, and finally the ultimately terrifying encounter of man against man. We planned a canoe ttip on the Colorado River which ended up at a picnic by the banks of the river with music, food and beer. When the sun went down we had a massive 40 foot movie screen erected on the banks of the river and watched Deliuerance under the stars. We also have in the works other film outings, including a temporary drive-in for a weekJong festival this
spring. From meetings and presentation to team-building sessions and awards ceremonies, or iust a fun night out for a group, the Alamo has proven to be a per{ect site for parties of all ages.
