ANALYSIS

Most of the families are based on farming, and they do not have any irrigation facility, thus they are depending only on rainfall. They are seasonal employees, only during the rainy season they work on their field. Some own a shop in the same village itself, the drivers work in Madurai and kariya patty, the coolie people s went to nearby village for work.

2. FAMILY MEMBER
As the number of the family differs the expences also increases. Like wise the villages we can see joint families or the members live as neibours. Thes they buy the store items in bulk and share amoung themself. The elder person in the family will buy the items and distribute the others. In nuclear families, they buy the items when they go to visitors home in nearby villages and make their purchase.

The family members mostly cook in the wood burner, thus they could not cook often. In some families they cook twice a day and very rarely cook thrice a day. When kids come for vocation to their home they cook tiffen at night. When they cook often the materials for cooking will be used more than cooking once a day. Thus their expenses for the store items will also increased.

4. FARMING
Some produce food grains in their own field itself. The grains like wheat, ground nut, spinach, rice, pulses, chilli, etc. The excess item will be sold to outsiders in nearby villages. But even to sell those items they have to travel a long way, and that also gives only minimum profit to them. Mainly the ground nut oil is grinded in nearby village and sold in the grinding mill itself. That gives them a minimum profit only. Not all the nuts are grinded for oil, instead only the week and unhealthy nuts are grinded for oil. The ground nut oil is not good for health if the people use it very often, thus some people will sell the oil and buy refined oil in shops. In some families the land has been kept ideal, thus they work as coolie and earn money. All the people are ready to sell it to CCD.

8. MASALA MASALA POWDER:

As per the survey in the 5 villages they are not interested in buying the readymade sambar powder, instead they are grinding the necessary items and uses it for minimum of 1 month to maximum of 3 months.

9. RETAIL Retail shops:

Mostly no one is purchasing from the retail shop in their village. For toilet and washing soap alone they are buying from a two wheeler seller who visits all the villages. He visits twice a week to all the villages. The price is comparatively same to the retail shop.

10. OPINION ABOUT CCD CCD PRODUCTS:

The people s opinion on CCD is that, CCD provides good quality products and cost is also comparatively high. The people are satisfied with what they use now and they are not interested in the high quality and high price. Some purchase oil alone in CCD, as it is less cost than the retail shop and the quality is good.

FINDINGS
Mostly in village they are like a nuclear family not the joint family Almost every houses, they would liked to cook only twice per day, but sometimes they would like to cook three times per day. Most of the families are depending only agriculture. Few of them are having their own shop. The village people are buying only branded items, in their village shop, outside of village and vehicle person. From the vehicle person the village people s are buying only branded items like paste item, soap item, etc For oil item, they are using their own, in the sense by using the ground nut, they are getting oil, and throughout the year that oil is using. Excess amount of oil is using for selling in outer area. They would like to sell to ccd also, if the ccd needs. Grinding purpose they are going to outer area. Some of them don t know about the availability of product in ccd. Most of them having no idea of price of the product in ccd. The product that village people s are buying from their own village shop, the price is not so differ. Almost no one wanted to buy unbranded items. Most of them are buying their product in ccd, and they really satisfied with the product and they feel that the product price is little high. None of them are using bad oil.

They liked to buy in ccd, because there is a installment system is there for payment. They are confused, because they really don t know the exact amount of the product in ccd, because based on the demand the price is differs. They are buying their product in outside of the village, because they usually working on their. Everyone are having agriculture, from there they are getting wheat, rice, ground nut and some pulses etc. They would like to give their outer portion of the ground nut to the ccd, because they don t need. Once they are getting product from ccd, incase if they need some extra product at that time they are buying in village or outer area of the village.

SUGGESTION
Some of them really didn t know about the product available in ccd, so my suggestion is by using the representative they should create awareness. How the vehicle person is doing his job, like that the ccd members should do. I know that its difficult, but creating the awareness is very crucial. The members in the ccd has to tell to the village about the price of the product in approximation. If the prices of ccd product is little bit low, when compared to the competitor product (having the same quality), than really it may work. Next time if any one is taking survey at the time, please inform all the availability of product and price of the product about ccd, through by this, the sale will improve. Ccd should have retail in their village, through this the product can easily move.
