PROJECT FOR GOVERNME NT OF INDIA June 08 - June 09 Selected to work for a national level project onDevelopment of multilinqual transalation systems using Artificial Intelligence directed towards the rural societies of the country; initiated for overcoming language barriers and hence ascertain rural inclusion To achieve language translation, developed an application using Hidden Markov Model (HMM) based on probabilistic processes to identify phrases & ideas in a given sentence. Also, pioneered in modifying this model to cover English, Hindi and Marathi languages Won Best Project Award in engineering college among the batch of 360 students and was also felicitated by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra State for successful completion of research and huge contribution to the development of the society POSITIONS OF RESPONS IBILITY Placement Committee Member, SPJIMR Responsible to maintain corporate relationship and ensure placement of the students batch General Secretary, Students Council - DJSCOE, elected on popular vote by 1360 students & led the technical, sports and cultural events of the college.
