You should have a flat edge on the circle; this makes it easier to sew on to the head. Stuff muzzle lightly and sew onto front of the head. Curve ears slightly and onto side of head. For a very sad bear add put the ears quite low. It is a good idea to pin them on to see how they will look before you start sewing. Using satin stitch add nose and other facial features. This is a very important part, it will give your bear its personality. Take the time to think about how you want your bear to look. It may help to look at some pictures. Add eyes before sewing head on to body. Fasten off (If you find that the scarf is too wide or too narrow just add or subtract a stitch from each row. Easy! Attach head to body. Attach arms and legs. Again, take the time to pin the limbs in place before you sew everything together. Make sure they are evenly placed and will allow your bear to sit properly. I usually stitch the limbs on loosely using a cross (two over-lapping stitches to form an X) before doing a final tight stitch. It is easier to undo a couple of stitches than the whole lot if you manage to sew them in the wrong place! It is also a bit easier to sew the limbs on if there arent any pins sticking into your fingers and threatening to fall out.
