There are hard decisions to be made in both love and war.

At some point in any campaign one must take stock of the situation at hand and determine if the losses incurred are beginning to outweigh any gains made. One must also decide whether expending any further energy is ever likely to lead to an outcome which is either favorable or even acceptable. If the answer to both queries is a clear no then it is better to salvage what is left of one's pride and retreat than suffer the indignity of total defeat and thereby run the risk of being incapable of living to fight another day due to a lack of mental acuity or physical resources. A lie is like a disease. Sadly, all of us have to go through it, either telling one, hearing one or being hurt by one. Fortunately, you can get through it, BY always TELLING THE TRUTH..! :) Forgive and forget. That's what they say. It's good advice, but it's not very practical. When someone hurts us, we want to hurt them back. When someone wrongs us, we want to be right. Without forgiveness, old scores are never settled...old wounds never heal. Life isn't all sunshines and rainbows. It is a mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permenantly if you let it. That s what it looks like and that s what it sounds like a trashing panicking trapped great big beast roaring like a prisoner to its own emotions. is I think we really don't get the true meaning of regret at least for the people who mention it! When you read a quote saying you should live with no regrets or someone tell you that, its not in the way you should avoid regreting something at all, but instead, you should not regret it to the point that if you had another chance to do it all again you would make things different. Why? Because every thing you did, every lesson you learned, every s**t you've been through made you who you are today, and that rises above anything else, anyplace, anytime! it would sadden me if you felt it appropriate to judge or discriminate against me based on the words or opinions of another, negative or positive. But the reality is that if you choose to do so you are probably not the kind of person I want to cultivate a relationship with. I want people in my life who care to know the genuine me and who wish to base their opinions in their own truth, not in the convictions of another. Sometimes in life you got to choose what you want instead of what other people want from you. You have to push away the people in your life and focus on yourself. In general they say follow your heart but sometimes you got to use your brain a little more.
