Class library:
Students who finish work early may use the class computers. They may only get on Compass. During recess, students can take turns playing games on the computer at appropriate websites. They are not required to do Compass during recess time.
I only allow 6 students at a time in the class library. When students are checking out books in the morning, they must wait until there are 5 or less students. They only have about 4 minutes to check out as other students need to have a turn! Students spending too much time must return to their seats.
Telephone:
dismissal: Students pack up when we return from recess. Make sure they color their color on their homework agenda. Stack chairs. Clean up and make sure the floors are free of litter! Bus riders and walkers line up in the hall. Car riders check for their numbers and line up in the hall if its not on the screen.
If you need to use the phone, there is a staff list of numbers posted right next to the phone. (You just need to dial the 4 digit code when making calls within the district.) If you need to call out, you must press 9, punch in the number you wish to call, and then the school phone code: 0043 after the beep.

School procedures
cafeteria: Line up students according to their lunch choice. We go through lunch line 1. The line leader will know where to go. The students may only enter the lunch line when the person in front of them has gotten their milk and silverware. Students may not go back through the line if they forgot something. During the first ten minutes of lunch, students eat on red cups, which means, no talking. After ten minutes, you can turn the cup to green and students may talk quietly to the others sitting beside and in front of them. When it is time to go, we use finger signals to indicate what to do. 1 finger means trash on your tray. 2 fingers means stand up behind your tray 3 fingers means pick up your tray 4 fingers means Lines may move to dump trays! (one line at a time) hallway:
Students must follow the school wide expectations while in the hallway. They must: * walk silently in a single file line with hands and feet in their own personal space * walk on the right side of the hallway on the colored row of tiles * facing forward! * go directly to and from their destination if they are walking alone

If a student needs to visit the nurse, please just write a short note letting the nurse know the problem. If a student gets sick in the classroom, please contact Jimmy Street, the head custodian. If a child needs a bandaid, they do not need to see the nurse. We have those in our class safety bag. The class safety bag should go everywhere we go.
