The world after 200 years: At this time petroleum will be all gone, and minerals will be on critical

level. Renewable and non-conventional like solar, wind, geo -thermal etc. will be the main energy resources. Sustainability will be the main goal to achieve in every activity. Afforestation will take place to improve earth s environment and to redu ce global warming. Planning commission will plan to eliminate the food crisis and uncontrolled population explosion.

At this time snow cap of Antarctica and Greenland will vanish, and that might raise the sea level up to 70 meters. The major concerns will be how to tackle this problem. But as we know necessity is the mother of invention , science and technology will come forward to help earthlings in this tr oubling situation. It might be possible that in lack of dry land; we will look forward to use water as the base of our future habitats, just like Hollywood movie water world . In this movie it is shown that after 100 years all dry land we ll be immersed into sea water due to sea level rise. For survival people are taking help of sea and aquatic life. There will be urbanization over water; floating habitats will be designed to accommodate humans.

It might be possible after 150-200 years; we ll start living in artificially created micro climate like living under a big geodesic dome or like big bubbles made of some membrane, because the outer atmosphere will be very poisonous to live due to destroyed eco-system. It ll be hard to survive in this condition for any earthling even for plants. We ll create or harvest everything needed for survival in this artificial micro -climate.

There is one more possibility, from recent climate change, catastrophes, and environmental degradation, if we ll take lesson and start caring about ecology and mother earth for own survival. May be we ll stop polluting our earth and put efforts to nourish it. It might be possible that, after 200 years global warming and pollution will be under control by our positive efforts to save the earth or in other words to save ourselves. Again earth will be clean and green, but that all is possible if we start putting efforts from right now on global scale not on regional level. At this point I would like to quote a paragraph from the book Topsoil and Civilisation by Tom Dale and Vernon Gill Carter: Man whether civilised or savage, is a child of nature he is not the master of nature. He must conform his action to certain natural laws if he is to maintain his dominance over his environment. When he tries to circumvent the laws of nature, he usually destroys the natural environment that sustains him. And when his environment deteriorates rapidly, his civilisation declines.
