jl Voyager Travel Channel launches internship program in partnership with HiTV and the NTA TV College.
Partners with National broadcaster Nigeria Television Authority to train students of its Diploma program on Television Engineering, Television Journalism, and Television Production & Design.

Lagos: Beginning in August 2011, Ajala: Owners of the Ajala Voyager Travel Channel will begin to run an internship for Audio Visual Production students. The start up recently admitted two students of the Nigeria Television Authority Television College,Jos,plateau state as part of a partnership to improve the quality of professionals serving the Audio Visiual Industry in Nigeria.

Announcing the partnership in Lagos where the Ajala Voyager Travel Channels operations are based. Dr Adedayo Osholowu President of the Ajala Voyager Travel Channel announced that, we recently began the first part of a 6 month intership program with two bright students of the NTA TV College Diploma Program: Gbenga Eyinfunjowo and Odunayo Olamide both final year students of the Diploma in Television Production. They have spent the past two months shadowing our operations in partnership with the HITV production department. They will send the next two month working on creating two formats: 3 minute fillers for our channel titled Travel Quotes and Did you know? As part of our pillared programming strategy to deliver fun information and programming targeted at the local Africa arm chair traveler. It is with great pleasure that we welcome these interns to the team, we are constantly searching for skilled young bright minds willing to contribute toward achieving our dream of delivering a must have travel channel for our region Africa commented Dr Dayo Osholowu, Chairman of Ajala this past week.

About The NTA TV College Consequent upon the merger of regional stations to form the NTA in 1977, it became necessary for the organization to streamline training and make it more regular in order to cope with the training needs of the rapidly growing organization; hence the establishment of the television college in September 1980. Since then the college has grown to serve not only the mother organization-the nta, but also state and private television stations, media units of federal and state agencies, as well as individuals who wish to acquire skills in different areas of television broadcasting. Today there is no television station that has not had its staff trained at the college. The nta television college since its inception has served as center of excellence in the provision of professional and specialized training in the core areas of television: i.e. Broadcast journalism, production, design and engineering. It commenced its operations with short-term proficiency courses in all the core areas of television broadcasting. The tremendous success recorded in these courses necessitated the introduction of a twoyear professional diploma programme in 1985.
