Pep Talk for Junior Kids: (present pictures to tell the analogy) Analogy between birthday celebration and Holy Mass: Attending a mass is like going to a birthday party Its a celebration, its a time to be with the birthday celebrant (Jesus), a time to share your time with your family and friends, being together with the people you love, time of thanksgiving, dressing up and behaving properly, participating in every activity Pep Talk for Senior Kids: (research on this) 4 parts of the Mass: Introduction Liturgy of the Word, Liturgy of the Eucharist and Concluding Rites Activities for Junior Kids: 1. Dress me up Im going to Mass. (matching type to the girl/boy of what to wear properly) 2. Pera o Bayong style: each question will have 3 choices, focusing on different behaviors during the mass; kids should get the proper behavior during the mass 3. Color me nice (different pictures pertaining to the Holy Mass) Activities for Senior Kids: 1. Skit: A scenario during the Holy mass, what is proper and what is not. (ex. Talking to seatmates, not listening, running around, not participatingetc) Ask them to think of a scenario that shows an occasion when we give thanks to God. ( ex. Waking up in the morning, passing a difficult quiz at school..etc) 2. Quiz bee: All about Mass (e.g. name the tune of the mass songs, things we used for Mass, parts of the Mass, etc.) Note: Every question answered should be explained 3. Dress up me up I am Going to Mass Focusing on their proper attire as they attend mass. Prepare different kinds of garments and let them chose which they think is the proper attire for mass. Divide them into groups of 5 and ask them to choose among their team 1 boy 1 girl to be dressed up.

Processing/Conclusion

Ask them what they have learned for today? Remind them about the importance of their participation in the Holy mass (its a reminder of what Jesus did for us, and a form of thanks giving for everything God gave to.) Also, its a time of spending the time with the one you love and the one who loves you most As a response of what you have learned, its time to share it with the people you love most your family. Invite them to go to the mass together as one family and share with them the joy of being with Jesus.
