Brief History of North Hills Village Elementary School North Hills Village Elementary School is one of the Relocation School Center which was opened only in July 199, when DepEd Bulacan Schools Division Superintendent Teofila R. Villanueva accepted from Wilfredo P. Hernandez the president of (HIGC) Home Insurenace & Guaranty Coporation as trustee of (DPWH) Department of Public Works And Highways, and through the effort of Miss Segundina Fuertes, the HOA president and Mrs. Josie Palivino, the secretary. The district Supervisor, Dr. Mauricia T. Santiago deployed the ten (10) pioneer teachers with more or less eight hundred (800) pupils. They were: Norma T. Daulat, Analie N. Arcilla, Elena Ramos Elsie Monoy, Liezel B. Lo, Guida Mendoza, Lizel Lumabos, Eileen Bernabe, Cecille Baleros, and Rebel San Pedro. They encountered great sacrifices due to lack of school facilities and salary delayed for 6 months. There were no desks/chairs, pupils brought their own chair for writing and sat on the floor. No blackboards teachers wrote their lessons on Manila paper. Theres no electricity, no water and the surrounding is like a smokey mountain. Some relocates who have no unit yet were sheltered at some classrooms, toilet bowls were stored for the rest of units vacant rooms. Teachers were only DECS contractual. On September 21, 1999 Mrs. Virginia J. Cristobal TIC from Bayabas Elementary School was transferred to serve as the school administrator. As servant leader, she moves on to develop all different aspects for lifelong learning of school children. Physically speaking, she acquired school needs like blackboards, desks, and other office furniture through Local School Board headed by the honorable mayor Dr. Feliciano P. Legaspi and Mrs. Rosalinda Esteban, the district Supervisor October 199, as Pro-God, the school head teachers PTCA officers invited a catholic priest and blessed the ten classrooms, the office and some ancillary buildings. Likewise, the governor Ho. Josie M. Dela Cruz as guest speaker offered P 20,000.00 as compensation for ten contractual teachers, who got no salary that time. Praise God Alleluia! Since, North Hills Village belongs to National Poor Commission (NAPC) on sy 2000-2001 the honorable President Gloria M. Arroyo graced our school for repair of 32 classrooms through DPWH. School year 2002-2003, NHVES enrolment rose to 50% problems existed because of lack of classrooms, desks and other school facilities, the greatest was the shortage of teachers item.

God is good all the time because DepEd / regional director and the School Division Superintendent gave us 20 national items for teachers. A teacher had 120 pupils, wherein we adopted the double single session. A year after, big enrolment arises again, there was a re-shuffle of district supervisors. A good Samaritan, Dr. Nicanor G. Giron came, when he found out the teacher pupil ratio true, he suggested to the principal to request teachers from the honorable Mayor Dr. Feliciano P. Legaspi through Local School Boards Funds. Another problem, classroom? We adopted AM/PM Shifting, and through the initiative of PTCA and the principal even non-functional comfort rooms were renovated and used as Pansamantagalan classrooms wherein we can accommodate only 30 pupils. At the present, NHVES was administered by Mrs. Minerva P. Sarmiento, as the school caretaker. She was assigned by Mr. Mario S. Barreo, our new handsome District Supervisor. Mr. Barreo was very supportive to all principals, schools teachers and especially to pupils. Still God is good all the time, because our school moves on progressively in all aspects. Although this is resettlement area, thru the effort, great sacrifices and the been outgrown by the not far behind to other schools who are fully established and school of choices. Our school is considered not only a performer but also a child friendly school. God is willing, NHVES moves onward through implementing School Initiative which is focused on Learning to improve achievement and completion rate and reduce dropout rate. Thus, School Based Management (SBM) which is the institutional expression of such change and it is vital to adopt it to attain the quality education. At present our school population is 2,378 elementary 245 kindergartens with 64 teachers 2 utility worker 3 security guards. There are 44 permanent teachers 4 locally funded teachers and 4 SEF teachers 5 kindergarten half of their salaries were paid /give assistance though MOOE and by Municipal Local School Board.
