DURASTEEL.
DuraSteel is a unique non-combustible material consisting of two metal sheets mechanically bonded to a fiber cement core. The metal sheets are available in galvanized, stainless or other specialty metals. DuraSteel is ideal for both interior and exterior acoustical applications, particularly when protection of mechanical equipment is required. Its modular construction can be used as a wall, an enclosure or a barrier. DuraSteel systems are available with additional cladding for greater acoustic mass and performance. DuraSteel can be painted for an aesthetical finish or for corrosion resistance in harsher environments.

THE ACOUSTICAL SOLUTION.

DuraSteel has been integral in providing fire, blast, impact and moisture resistance solutions for engineers and architects all over the world. Alone, it is only 3/8 (9.5mm) thick and provides a Sound Transmission Class (STC) of 35, equivalent to a typical interior wall consisting of a single layer of drywall on each side, wood studs with no insulation. Available in 48x96 sheets, it can be easily cut and drilled to suit your design requirements. They are generally screw fixed to a mild steel structural framework constructed on site. Painting and corrosion resistant coating options are also available, making DuraSteel a versatile product for any application. DuraSteel offers high transmission loss acoustical properties in a thin yet robust design, saving building owners space while meeting critical environmental acoustical requirements.
