CALL FOR ART WORK October 15th December 1st 2011 Atrium of the Statler Towers Niagara Square, Buffalo, NY Private Opening Wed. Oct 19th 5-9pm National Preservation Conference Attendees Only Public Opening To Be Determined PAINTING FOR PRESERVATION Mission P4P hosts Art-Ins at historic places to create positive awareness of distressed and under-utilized buildings, a record of current conditions and spark new conversations about preservation opportunities. We are artists inspired by our historic urban environments and communities. SEEKING Two-dimensional work in any medium (photography, painting, printmaking, 2-d sculpture, textile, etc.) that broadly communicates the themes of architectural, historic, or community preservation in Western New York. Work can be any style, realism, expressionism, impressionism, conceptual, etc. Artists do not need to be active participants of P4P to submit work. Any work that relates to the themes mentioned above or our mission statement will be considered. COST There is no fee to enter. Artists are expected to donate 40% of sales to assist in the restoration of Statler Towers, a 1920s grand hotel. All sales

and donations will be the responsibility of the artist. ENTRY FORMAT Submit 1 to 3 entries via email. If work measures over 24 inches in any direction, please limit submissions to 2. Please no submissions over 48 inches. Subject line of email should indicate P4P Exhibit Submissions. Preferred entry format: Dims: 1240 pixels x 1240 pixels File Size: No larger than 4.0 MB each File format: .JPEG Each image should be named as artists last name, underscore then numbered. For example: smith_1.jpeg ENTRY DEADLINE Work must be sent to P4Partist@gmail.com by September 27th 2011. If email submission is impossible, please call Sara M. Zak at 716-2284853. NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTED ARTISTS All accepted artists will receive an email acknowledgment the week of Oct 8th Oct Correspondence will include additional instructions. Accepted artists are responsible for work delivery, pick up and insurance (not-required). Artists will be notified of potential sales with contact information via email. WORK DROP OFF Work must be dropped off at Statler Towers on Sat. Oct 15th from 9am12pm. If special arrangements are needed, please call Sara M. Zak at 716228-4853 immediately.

PRESENTATION INSTRUCTIONS If accepted, all work must be presented in a professional manner and ready to hang the day of delivery. P4P has the right to refuse any previously accepted work that is not ready to hang.
