Rotaract movement
Rotaract is an international organization of service clubs for men and women aged 18-30 that fosters leadership and responsible citizenship, encourages high ethical standards in business and promotes international understanding and peace. Rotaract is a program of rotary international . rotaract club works under the guidance of the local rotary club and take their name from a combination of the words rotary and action. The first officially chartered rotaract club was in north Carolina, in 1986, but club of young people associated in service with local rotary clubs had existed for several years in India and Europe. Today there are 7300 clubs in more than 150 countries. Club draws members from community or is organized as an extracurricular activity for college students. Rotaract club conducts formal meetings, usually every two weeks, which feature speakers, tours of local business, cultural activities, discussions and visits to other clubs. Rotaractors utilize weekends for service project work, social events and professional and leadership development workshop. Every rotaract club is a part of district rotaract organization, run by elected representative with support from sponsoring Rotarians.

About Rotaract club of Dombivli

Rotaract club of Dombivli is one of the oldest club in the dist 3140 completing 38 glorious years. It all started in January 1972, the year when club was framed . the club was chartered on 25th march 1973 by the hands of the dist governor of dist 3140 Rtn.C.V.jog at rotary seva Kendra. The charter president Rtn.M.R.patil laid down the foundation of the Rotaract club of Dombivli and since then the club has not looked back and growing in a leaps and bounds. In the year 1988 the president started the project shrikant and it is still an ongoing project of the club. The other projects are Chanakshya,Ranbhuoomi which gives a platform to youth to show their talents. In addition to this, we conduct projects like workshops for 10th and 12th students, seminar on various technical and general topics, exchange teams where in members from other district visit our club and our club and members of our club are hosted by other clubs, blood donation camps, eye check up camps etc. We are proud to say that we have given a DRR Rtr. Bharat Anikhindi and Rtr. Sanjeev Tambe to Dist. 3140.

Dear Rotaractors, As the New Year is starting, it brings along new goals to achieve, new challenges to overcome. What target you should set for yourself? One always wants to be better. So, one has to have great target. The target, which is achievable? The target that has sufficient stretch, which should be well thought, well organized, and well followed up. Result to be evaluated with the effort put in & manner in which it is achieved.With the club having great past achievements you do not have to search for Bench Mark. It is there, and is to be raised. Rotaract club have always been great support to parent Rotary Club since its inception. It has given many great Rotarians. Rotary International also recognises the power of youth. Earlier who were just Partners in Service are now included in the newly formed Fifth Avenue of Service named New Generations. Let us work together and achieve the goal. Wishing You a grand year ahead.

Dear Rotaractors of RC Dombivali As you'll know, last year when the year started off, region 3B was a focus point. The way your club has supported the district and zone along with other clubs in 3B is truly commendable. The kind of quality projects that RCD does I also appreciated. RCD focuses on quality and quantity but now you'll need to focus on balancing the quality and quantity both. All in all RCD is on a right track, keep doing the good work. Hi .

It is deep feeling to write the very first Presidential Message of this Rotaract year and it's exactly at a place where I always wanted it to be in the first bulletin by Rtr.Varsha! It is such an honor to be a part of Rotaract club of Dombivli that truly adds value to my life and has added significant value through our wonderful community. The R.C.D. is a significant part of my personal life and encourages the entire TEAM of R.C.D. to rise up and continue to bring value to our club and community through their time, talent and treasure. Our club is the oldest club in district 3140, and this is because of the hard working members and the excellent BOD team which is going to take our club to a great success along with the support of Rotary President Rtn.Dr.Ghanashyam Shirali and R.C.C. K.V.Sathiamoorthy.

I would like to thanks every one who believed in me:-My parents, Rtr.Girish, Past Rtr.Mukund, Rtr.Ankit (dist Ave.Chairperson)the list goes on. I would like to thanks the people who inspired me:-Rtr.Aditya, Rtr.Mayank and D.R.R.Vinit Parikh for having faith in me as a president. Last but not least, I congratulate to Rtr.Rajdeep Gadekar and Rtr.Shital Kamble for completing a successful year! They have rocked the year. The first in life are always the most interesting. I am extremely excited as I pen down my message as a Zonal Rotaract Representative of 3B for 1st Time. But this not about me and my first write-up this about the club which has recently completed its 38 Years as a Community Based Club in Rotaract fraternity. I proudly say that this is amongst the oldest club in RID 3140 & still running successfully. Rotaract Club of Dombivli is my buddy club & always my favorite too. Off the record I must say I have learned a lot from this club what a enthusiastic members you have. Strongly Laid Foundation, Phenomenal Projects, Consistent Growth & a very close knit team lead ferociously by a dynamic leader Rtr. Rajdeep Gadekar. Rtr. Ankush Rasne a very down to earth, calm, focused & ambitious leader I have seen ever. A Leader, Peoples person, loaded with enthusiasm, President Rtr. Ankush Rasne, as see a lot of promise & willpower to do something unique in his Team 2011-12.

It is my pleasure to pen down for one of the oldest club in Dombivli City RC Dombivli. I am fully impressed by their true heart community service in all over Dombivli & villages near Dombivli, and thats why I always little eager to attend their projects.During some of the projects, I have been closely interacted with Rtr. Ankush and all the other members and I found and come to know that they all are not only friends but more over they are rock stars and true sailors of the organization.They not only Work hard for community but hide the tiredness with a smile.They not only help underprivileged but provide a feeling of helping a friend.They just start a communication with you but at the end you will be a strong fan of them.I wish to almighty for the great success in the year of Rtr. Ankush Rasane as a 39th President of the Club and in his able president ship Rotaract Club of Dombivli can upgrade its status in the District 3140 to the great extent. Always with you in Rotaract

Asma ke paar chal, sirf nazarein mein kya rakha hai, Teirna hai toh samundar ke beech teiro, kinare mein kya rakha hai! 2 lines which best defines the attitude of the Rotaract Club of Dombivli. Entering in its 39th Year of passionate Rotaraction, the club is relentless of any challenges or obstacles. Its been an honor for to have had a opportunity to work in close proximity of the club. RC Dombivli thrives on the enthusiasm of young blood and the experience of its seasoned Rotaractors. If growth is challenging, sustenance is a uphill task. Retaining their district position in top 10 earns the President Rtr rajdeep and his team a lot of respect in my mind. The NEXT leader of the club is a fantastic example of 'Silent waters run deep'. Rtr Ankush is a leader with few words and several ideas. I have always trusted in his leadership and RED 2010 testified his ability.I wish him and the club, all the very best and would like to end my message by saying, "ashakya kahichz naahi"

My heartiest congratulation to Rtr. Rajdeep Gadekar, for completion of his Presidential Year. It was very great working with him and RC Dombivli in several projects & events. I would personally like to thank RC Dombivli for giving such brilliant and enthusiastic Presidents, ZRR & even the members who are full with energy always. As a member I was working with you all till now, now happy to say officially I got a chance to work with you all as a Buddy from Council. My wishes are always with RC Dombivli and I also wish best of luck to Rtr. Ankush Rasane for his upcoming presidential year. Now, he will be the Responsible one to carry the name and increase the strength of RC Dombivli. Till now, RC Dombivli was Rocking in Zone, I know one day RC Dombivli will Rock in Dist too.
