2 Influencing factor
Small area of the forest in Devikulum will be cleaned up for the project. This might involve a small scale of deforestation. By cutting out part of the forest, the surrounding temperature is estimated to slightly increases. Forest plays an important role in recycling carbon around the earth. When the forest is cut down, there is no plant to take the excess carbon dioxide (Climate & Weather 2011). As a result, the temperature of earth increases due to the heat reflected back to earth by the carbon dioxide particles. Secondly, when there is no tree, soil erosion may happened in certain part of the village. The trees are holding the soil to prevent it from running off from the high land area to the low land area. If the situation is not handled well, it might cause landslide in the construction area. Thirdly, the soil in the surrounding area will lost the fertility. Before the project is introduced, open defecation happening everywhere around the village. However, if the biomass plant is carried out, the feces of human and animal will be collected and transfer to the plant, hence no organic wastes will be remaining on the ground to decompose into organic soil. So, the soil will be less fertile in long run.

1.3Impact of change

Residents in Devikulum has been practicing open defecation since long while ago. However , open defecation has been causing a lot of heath problem globally. According to World Health Organisation, there are around 2 million deaths annually especially among children group due to the ingestion of human fecal cases(WHO 2011). The situation in Devikulum will worsen if it is not handled properly. Among the diseases, the most common disease is intestinal ailments. It is impossible for them to avoid ingesting of human waste when come to the situation where there is huge number of people defecating outdoors. The main agent of spreading the human waste are flies and dust. The wastes transfer to human body through food and water supplies as the dust or flies resting on it. This is how the invisible killer is killing without the notice of us. By running a biomass plant project in Devikulum, this problem will be solved. The feces is collected and transfer to the biomass plant and hence there is no more open decomposing of the human waste. By doing this , the transmitting agents will not have chance to be in touch

with the human waste, and hence diseases can be prevented. Through this project, not only the health problem can be solved, moreover the wastes can be recycled and benefits the residents.
