Prayer

What is prayer? It is a conversation with God. When we pray we are humbling ourselves before God and saying I need Your presence and Your power, Lord. I cant do this without You. (Stormie Omartian, Power of the Praying Parent) Notes:

Personal Prayer You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. John 15:16 Dear Lord, I am coming to you asking for your help. I want to make a difference in the life of my family. I know I am not perfect, but in whatever areas I lack as a parent and wife I hope that you will intercede on my behalf for the sake of my family. Lord God, I ask you for the resources I need to be a woman who honors you and that blesses my family. Where I need to be healed, delivered, changed, matured, or made whole, I invite you to do that in me. Lord, for any transgressions I have committed would you forgive me and change me for the better. Heavenly Father, would you give me a generous portion of your love that I may pour it out into the lives of my family members. Father Your Word says that I did not choose You, but that You chose me. (John 15:16) You chose me as Your child and I ask you to anoint me with the fullness of Your Spirit in the daily tasks of life. I pray that I may bear good fruit daily with my family. For without Your strength and power in my life I would surly fail. Teach me how to pray for each family member. I want to make a daily and eternal difference in their lives. Increase my faith that I may see Your divine guidance and intervention in my life and know that it is You alone speaking to me. Thank You Lord, I am asking for this in the powerful name of Jesus, Amen. Notes:

Husbands Prayer Whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. Matthew 21:22 Heavenly Father, please bring favor on my husband today; Lord, please Bless his day. Please do in his life what he cannot do on his own. Father, I ask you in Jesus name to give my husband an incredible relationship with our children. Please help him to excel at everything he sets his hands to today. Make him a man whose heart follows after you and serves you in all places at all times. Please give him wisdom to discern all things in his work. May he be favored at work as a husband- and as a father and as man known for his diligent work. Father, Your Word says Whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. In Jesus name I ask that you increase my faith to believe for all the things youve put on my heart to pray for concerning my husband. I love him and I know he is a special gift from You. Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hand toward Him for the life of your young children. Lamentations 2:19 Childrens Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of my children and the privilege of being their mother. Teach me Lord to enjoy the personalities and talents of each of them. Help us to laugh often, to sing and read and pray together, so that my sweet children feel secure and loved. Lord, I pray for each one of my children that their lives will be filled with laughter and that they will know the joy of Christ within their soul. When temptations come, I pray that they will learn from Jesus and trust His ways. May they know God, that you hold all things in your control. May my children grow in the knowledge and understanding of Jesus Christ as Gods son, savior and friend. Father each day may You be their strength, may You be their rear guard, may You be in every detail of their life.
